VAWA AND GREEN CARD 2022 help
I filed a VAWA case as a derivative applicant through my mother. She is the petitioner and was married to a lawful permanent resident. We submitted the I-360 on October 31, 2022. I understand that we could not file the I-485 concurrently at that time because it only applies to spouses of U.S. citizens. However, we later filed my I-485 on February 13, 2023. In August 2023, I completed my biometrics appointment. I also received my Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Social Security Number (SSN). Additionally, I have receipt notices for both the I-360 and I-485. My I-360 case status has only been updated to show that the fees were waived. I have not received any Requests for Evidence (RFE) or other updates since filing. As for supporting evidence, my case includes: * Three police reports * Two witness statements * A medical report documenting alcoholism * Photos showing property damage * Chat records and audio transcripts * Personal statements from both my mother and me I believe the case is strong, but I am concerned about the lack of updates. I would like to know if this is normal or if there could be an issue with my case.
