Hey guys, any other Nov 2024 filers for I-765 based on pending I-485? I still have not received my EAD 4.5 months in and my cohort is already 85% processed. At what point can I submit an expedite request or file a writ of mandamus…?
I filed my I-131 later in Feb given holiday travels, should I expect to receive the combo card together or do they typically process separately now? Hoping to receive soon for summer travel plans…

AC21 portability to self employment
Hi guys, I filed my I-140 and I-485 in Nov 2024 but it looks like I may be getting laid off soon before the 180 day deadline. I will ask my employer not to withdraw my I-140.
Assuming I can preserve it past 180 days, I’d like to start my own business. AC21 portability actually allows pending I-485 holders to transfer this not to another third party employer but actually your own company, as long as it’s in a “same or similar” job. Does anyone have any experience with this or can recommend a lawyer who has done these? I’m unclear how USCIS views this in light of tighter standards today, and what documents I need to submit to prove the business is legitimate (it will be founded this year but I have sufficient 6-7 figures of savings to capitalize the business).
How should I go about filing this after 180 days? Would I sign the supplement form J as my own employer? That doesn’t seem right to me either.

My brother, he gave his interview on February 2. he passed his interview and they gave it to him a farm decision did not make yet something is like that and after that Uscis has been silent our Uscis office is in Newark and I just saw today on uscis account One week progress what does that mean? It was for week like a month ago that mean we going to receive our decision under one week or something else need help

it's been a long journey from 2019 Feb till March 13th 2025 when I was called for interview.I just want to encourage somebody out there not to give up hope.In due time with prayers and persistence you will pull through.I will celebrate with you too soon.There is nothing God cannot do. We were denied last month. filed 290b -case to reopen because they didn’t receive the RFE by mistake and case reopened on Monday this week finally approved today!

VAWA March 2025 Approvals

i noticed approvals have been slower. i havent seen any recent posts on vawa approvals since last week. I am hoping and praying that this administration policies dont slow us down even further seeing as they have paused processing asylum cases. God is our strength 🙏
