EB-1C I-485 After RFE Response — How Long?
Hi everyone,
I’m an EB-1C (people manager) applicant. I filed concurrently in late May 2025. My I-140 RFE was approved on Oct 17, 2025, and USCIS received my I-485 RFE response on Sep 18, 2025.
Since then, my I-485 (MSC receipt) has remained in ‘Response to RFE Received’ status.
Is this normal? For EB-1C applicants, how long does USCIS typically take to approve the I-485 after the I-140 approval and RFE response? Any guidance or similar experiences would be helpful
timestamp update - 485
Hi all, my biometric was done on 17th nov. immediately my case status changed to “case is still being processed by USCIS”. I also saw two FTA0 events in a short time span.
On 18th I saw a silent timestamp with no event code such as FTA0 or anything. Then, on 21st I saw two timestamp updates. Then, on 25th I saw another two timestamp updates.
these are only timestamp updates with no case status change. is it normal to see those ?
note: 765 and 131 are still pending.
i485 EAD processing (principal pending)
hi, me and and my spouse i485 biometric was schedule on 11/21, spouse ead approved on 11/23. mine is still pending. caste status updated for me showing step3 (biometric was completed) but no approvals yet. spouse status changed to approved with approval notice shared. anyone seeing this pattern where derivate is approved and principal pending?
Tips I’d give now that i’m finally done with my case
- Always do your own research. If you feel like your lawyer is missing something, check it.
- Don’t be scared to reach out to them, you’re literally paying for their service.
- And if you think they messed up, SAY something. Honestly, if I had spoken up sooner, my interview would’ve been scheduled way earlier. They told me I didn’t need to send a police certificate to the NVC… like, what?!
- Be involved in your case. Don’t go crazy, but don’t be hands-off either.
- Ask questions anywhere, in this app, Facebook, Reddit. There are tons of people going through the same thing.
And honestly, the hardest tip:
Be patient. Don’t forget to actually live your life during all of this. Your happiness doesn’t start when the green card arrives, it just continues. Don’t put your whole life on pause.
EAD CARD REPLACEMENTS? I recently lost mines, how much did you pay and how long did it take till you finally got it in the mail?
RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT IM MISSING MY WORK PERMIT CARD. any idea if I could replace it and how much is the fee and how long did it take for you to finally get it in the mail

I submitted a case inquiry on September 26, 2025. On October 26, I received an email stating that they had received my request and that it would take 30 days for them to respond. I still haven’t received anything.When am I going to receive an answer?????
