Case Processing
Service Request calling USCIS : any results ? UPDATE: derivative was approved in 12 days after main applicant, in 2 business days after SR was created through phone call to USCIS!!
i485 of the main applicant was approved 8 days ago , derivative is pending in CRP.
I called USCIS infopass and a nice lady sent a message to an officer (as she said) and provided me with Service Item Number. I got email saying an officer will contact me through phone or email.
Is there somebody who did the same ? Did it help ?
Rant: I’m so tired of this wait!
I am an October EB3 filer and my PD will be retrogressed soon starting next month. I just want to get this out of my chest. I know there are people waiting for even longer, and people in way less fortunate circumstances than me. But this wait and emotional roller coaster have been so painful to me!
I want to get my green card sooner so I can take a long overdue sabbatical from my extremely demanding tech job, without having to worry about getting fired or laid off!
I want to get my green card sooner so I can become a citizen sooner, so I can petition GC for my retiring parents so they can they live with me here in the US once they retire.
I want to get my green card sooner so I can go home to see family, and take my wife on a vacation in Asia as I promised her years ago!
I want to get my green card sooner so I can finally take a deep breath and feel that I belong here, so I don’t need to worry about getting kicked out of the country if I happen to get laid off!
My American friends and many of my family members don’t get this, but this community gets this feeling. I hope we all can get our GCs soon. And thank you all for being here for me!
Widow of USC
My USC Wife applied for me i-130 before her death. it was pending when she passed away(last year ), i sent USCIS Service office the death certificate + i130 reciept. This year i got (i130) approval, it was supposed to be converted to i-360 but i never got any notice or paper that states my i130 is converted to i360. Now my question can i apply for widower green card using the approved i130 and file i864W (Exemption of support ) as i am a USC widower ? #i130 #i864W #i360

CASE TRANSFERRED FROM NBC TO NEWARK-NJ AND EMAIL OF ACTION TAKEN WITHOUT ANY UPDATE.
I’ve talked to Emma and I was informed that my case was sent to my field Office( Newark-NJ) and that my interview was waived. After couple of hours I received an email from USCIS saying that they took action on my case, but nothing changed on the status and documents. Does anyone know if transfer to the local office is good or bad? Does someone have an idea of timeline for this Office? And is getting this email without any action normal or means anything? thank you all!
Giving you some hope that USCIS is working faster than Flash. I am sharing to give some people hope and motivation to not give up. I am still in shock. Goodluck guys
I don’t know if this timeline helps but from reading a lot of reddits prior to getting approvals I got soo stressed because I thought I was never hearing from them any time soon. Just to receive the best of news. I wish the same for everyone waiting like I did
