I sincerely pray that good news will reach everyone who, today as well, is struggling with immigration issues and living between uncertainty and hope.
I know how heavy this uncertainty can feel, but please remember you are not alone. I truly hope and pray that your good news will come soon.
EAD renewal Tied to VAWA
Hi everyone, does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive a response after requesting an expedited EAD renewal?
I applied to renew my EAD in July 2024, and the status has remained “fingerprints were taken.” The advance parole renewal that I filed at the same time was approved last year. My prima facie determination connected to my VAWA case continues to be renewed.
I have already called to request an expedite for the EAD renewal and also contacted my congressman to submit an inquiry on my behalf. Does anyone know how long it typically takes to hear back after an expedite request?
I’m really stressed because my employer requires an updated EAD, and I could lose my job in 90 days if I’m unable to provide it.
Anyone else with VAWA pending since 2020–2021? Seeing a worrying trend
Trying to analyze what might be missing in some of these pending cases from 2020–2021, especially since I’ve been seeing a concerning trend of denials lately. I’m wondering if there’s something common between the cases lack of certain evidence, criminal history issues, overseas travel, or overstays, filling place, length of the marriage, or something else.
In my situation, I was living with my ex-husband’s family, so I didn’t have a lease in my name and I think it’s bad. It was also during COVID and we didn’t travel much together to give USCIS a lot of pictures or affidavits. However, I do have joint bank statements and years of joint tax filings. As far as I know, USCIS hasn’t disputed the abuse part of my case they issued an RFE for good faith marriage, but they didn’t question shared residence.
My case has been pending since August 2021. I don’t have any criminal history, I’ve paid my taxes, and the only issue on my record is that I overstayed my visa. I originally came to the U.S. on a J-1, and I’m from a former Soviet Union country. No kids, 3 years of marriage, filed from NYC.
I know discussing this won’t necessarily change the outcome of our cases, but it might help us prepare. Some people on Discord, mentioned possibly filing a lawsuit against USCIS. Maybe we can gather experiences, compare timelines and RFEs, and see what patterns we can find.

traveling on advance parole
have anyone travel on their advance parole lately? I want to travel but I’m from a country with a partial ban ( Antigua & Barbuda). I travelled on my advance parole once back in December 2024 and re entry was smoooth. 15 minutes in secondary inspection. I wanna try again. thoughts?
F2a - IOE - with NOIR
My priority date is December 2022, and I got approved in my case on January 2024. But on November 2024 I got a NOIR the reason is because they explained me in a letter that my case was approved when my category isn’t current because the visa bulletin got a regress . Now it’s more than 1 year and a half and I don’t hear back anything from them. it’s frustrating ugh!!! Somebody in the same situation? or know what’s next?
EB2 NIW – Priority Date August 2024, Texas Service Center, no Premium Processing. Anyone with a similar case? What are your expectations or timelines?

Interview scheduled without priority date being current. F2A
Hi everyone, I have a quick question. My interview for the F2A category was scheduled even though my priority date is not current yet. Has anyone experienced this before or knows why this happens? Its under F2A category and I’m still almost 1.5 years behind the priority date. Any idea what can happen after the interview about the decision?
