October filers still waiting???
It has been 8 full months since I sibmitted my N-400 with a pending I-751 from November 2024.
FO: Los Angeles
USCIS keeps postponing processing times in their website, now it hit 9 months for 80% of the cases!
I have clean background and not from a banned country either. It is a constitutional right to apply for citizenship. But the system is broken and slowing the process everyday. No one is raising their concerns about this issue. We all have jobs, families, lives and plans based on this processes. It is also not fair that applicants who have applied before October 2025, had their files processed in shorter periods and got their citizenship. No one to talk, no one to vent, no one to ask for an information! I tried USCIS help desk and local congressman too, no solution!

Green card approved - San Jose Field Office
We just had few days left for date to retrograde and received approval today. RFE was submitted June 6th and today status changed directly to Card Is Being Printed, no status in between. We had sent congressional inquiry after RFE.
God is kind! All the best to all!

I-485 (Asylum) Timeline
Hi everyone,
I have a pending Green Card application based on asylum. I wanted to check if anyone with a similar case has received any recent updates from USCIS.
If you’ve recently received biometrics, an interview notice, approval, or any other update, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your timeline and experience.
Thank you, and good luck to everyone waiting!
Tawfiq Bidaki.

I finally got the green light just days before my priority date is expected to retrogress
What a roller-coaster journey this has been. After years of uncertainty, stress, and waiting, our case was finally approved today.
Timeline:
• EB1-C India
• Priority Date: November 2022
• Concurrent filing when the dates were current, before they retrogressed in 2023
• Case remained at CRP for nearly 1,400 days
• April 17: Case transferred to the San Jose Field Office
• May 18: Received an RFE for expired medicals and Employment Verification Letter (EVL)
• June 04: Submitted the RFE response, which USCIS received on June 08
From the day the RFE response was received, it felt like an endless wait. The stress was overwhelming, and honestly, we were beginning to lose hope. Every day felt uncertain.
Then, today, the approval finally came through.
The timing could not have been any closer. Had the approval been delayed by even a week, the dates would have retrogressed again, and I don't know what our situation would have been.
Feeling incredibly grateful, relieved, and thankful that this chapter is finally behind us. Wishing everyone who is still waiting for good news to receive it soon. Thank you to this forum who helped to keep our hopes alive.

My father is a lawful permanent resident (green card holder). Our I-130 was filed in December 2024 and by January 2027 it will have been pending for about 25 months.
Our priority date is current, my father has been living alone in the U.S. for more than 3 years, and the rest of the family is in Jordan. We only see him about once a year because travel is expensive.
Do you think these circumstances would make us good candidates for a Writ of Mandamus if the case is still pending in January 2027? Based on your experience, would a 25-month delay be considered unreasonable for an F2A consular processing case?

Travel with Vawa AP (having asylum pending)
Hi everyone
I would appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar situation or know someone having similar situations.
I have a pending VAWA (I-360), pending I-485, pending asylum(not removal process) , and Advance Parole valid until 2029.
My expedite request was approved based on humanitarian and medical circumstances. USCIS later issued an RFE, I responded in November 2025, and my case is still pending.
I am considering traveling to a third country (not my asylum country) for medical treatment using my valid Advance Parole since delaying my treatment may have irreversible results.
Has anyone traveled on AP with:
* pending VAWA,
* pending asylum,
* and pending I-485?
What was your re-entry experience like? .
