Adjustment of Status i485 - File online
I would like to ask for your opinions regarding filing the Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status) online.
In your experience, is it a good idea to submit the I-485 electronically, or is it still safer and more reliable to file by mail (paper filing)?
Any pros or cons regarding delays, RFEs, or technical issues?

Our green card was approved today.
For context: we’re Australian citizens living in Manhattan since September 2023. I’ve been in the U.S. on an L-1A and my partner on an L-2A. My employer filed our case concurrently in September 2024 without premium processing for the I-140. In September 2025, they agreed to upgrade to premium processing, and the I-140 was approved shortly after.
Our interview was at the New York (Manhattan) field office and lasted about 30 minutes. The officer covered:
• Our relationship history — how we met, our families
• Career history — current roles, previous jobs, education
• Home life — rent, daily routine, our dog
We brought extensive relationship evidence (photos, lease agreements, utility bills). We’ve been together 10 years and married for 3.
At the end, the officer said a decision couldn’t be made at the interview and issued a Notice of Continuance, explaining the case would go for additional review. We left disappointed and unsure how long it would take.
To our surprise, we were approved the next day.

751 approved but not sure what to do
Didn't expect it to become complicated...
So we filed i-751 jointly about 2 years ago, then thing went wrong at the end of last year and we eventually decided to get a divorce
Just started the divorce process early Feb 2026 and I was still processing as well as looking for/researching what should I do with my pending I-751, like should I tell them when the divorce got finalized etc
Then suddenly got approved without RFE or interview a few days ago...
Tried to search a lot on the internet and the community but still not sure what to do...like should I contact them and notify about the divorce proceedings or if I do nothing will this become a problem when I file N-400?
Would appreciate if anyone with similar experience to share, thanks a lot!

EB2-NIW Status Adjustment
IMPORTANT QUESTION: Has anyone been able to adjust their status after more than 180 days of being undocumented? Exactly 181 🥴🥴🥴 Apparently, I won't be able to adjust my status because I've accumulated 181 days and exceeded the time limit (180 days) under Section 245(k). Do any of you, or anyone you know, have managed to adjust their status even after exceeding 180 days?
i-485 and EAD.
i have a pending I-140 that was filed in March
2025. Since my priority date is now current on the Visa Bulletin, am I eligible to file my 1-485 (Adjustment of Status) and I-765 (EAD) concurrently? I'm looking to secure my legal status and obtain a work permit while the petition is processed. Is this possible?
Pakistani Immigrant Citizenship
I got my Green Card with EB2-NIW petition in Sep 2021. In June it will be eligible to apply for citizenship (90 days before 5 years). Am I eligible? Is citizenship application considered banned for Pakistan since it is in the list of countries from where immigrant visa processing is on hold? I have always lived in USA and will apply from USA.
