So grateful to God Almighty. New card being produced after filing mandamus Pro se
I am so thankful and grateful to God. This journey has finally come to an end for me, and my status has updated to New Card Being Produced after filing a mandamus pro se.
I also want to give a huge thank you to this amazing community. Reading everyone's experiences, advice, and updates kept me going through some of the most stressful moments of this wait.

Has anyone filed a WOM for a delayed I-485 recently?
Has anyone filed a Writ of Mandamus (WOM) for a delayed I-485 recently?
My attorney recently told me that in two of the WOM cases he filed, government attorneys are preparing to file Motions to Dismiss, arguing that the applicants haven’t waited long enough for their I-485 applications to be considered unreasonably delayed.
I filed my own WOM in September, so I’m pretty worried about this.
Has anyone else experienced something similar recently? Did the government attorney try to dismiss your case? If so, what happened afterward?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Hi
I had my interview back in July 2025.
It has been three weeks since I requested an inquiry from the congressman, but I haven't received a response yet.
I called the congressman's office, and they told me the matter is under review; they also said that if I want to expedite the process, I should appear in person at the office with my partner.
Does anyone have information on how this works?

Question about USCIS Live agent update
Today I was chatting with USCIS live agent and asked for updates for my I-485 case. This is what I have got
Your case is currently still processing at the National Benefits Center. An officer last worked your case on 07/27/2026. Once the NBC is done processing your case USCIS will forward your case to the local field office for further processing.
Does anyone know if it was just a generic update on case or it means my case is moving towards adjudication process.
