LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP/ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS APPROVED
Hi guys, I’m new on here and new to this filing thing but I’m just putting this on here since I’ve been following some you guys journey about filing process.
I’m a regular visitor to the US for many years now and I came on a B1/B2 visa.
Married my boyfriend in August 2025 (we were both 23 at the time, and we did it when I was visiting him here on a whim. We’ve been in a long distance relationship for about 3 years; I’m from Jamaica, he’s a US citizen through naturalization).
I went back home to Jamaica less than a month after we got married and came back up as a visitor in December 2025 to spend Christmas together since that’s what we always do and I became out of status around June 2026 since I was still in the country due to my passport and everything being stolen in January. Here’s our timeline:
**JULY 7, 2026** \- FILED our I-130, I-485 and I-765 concurrently in July 7, 2026 due to situation and wanting to just start living together.
**JULY 18, 2026** \- Biometrics scheduled
**AUGUST 13. 2026** \- Interview scheduled
**September 21, 2026** \- Interview Day and Approved; Service Centre was the National Benefits Centre but we had our Interview done in Orlando
Tbh, my husband and I were more on the chilled side until we were in the interview. But we spoke the truth. Told him I worked here illegally at least twice since traveling here from 2016 or so. And I legit didn’t have anything here in my name except a bank account. We didn’t have anything joint or nothing, except me being on his life insurance, we legit just went in there with just photos of us from 2022 till today. We showed pictures on our phones as well and that was it.
Our filing consist of just the forms, couple pictures, trips, his tax documents, and a joint sponsor from his mum.
All that to say, I know it seems bleakly for some persons especially if you think you have nothing with your partner, but who knows, just give it a shot. It may just work out for you if you guys have lots of history together ( as much as we weren’t concerned as much, I did compare myself to all I’ve seen from others on here with what they always had in their own filings).
**Ps**. What more than likely helped was the fact that we were once schoolmates when we were younger so that helped with familiarity and genuineness.

An appointment notice will be mailed to your current address of record on file with USCIS when you have been scheduled. had anyone ever had this notice? been at local fo for 2 months with no update.
H-1B Extension RFE After I-485 Approval and Green Card Issuance
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on my situation.
My I-485 was approved on December 19, 2025, and my physical Green Card was produced on December 30, 2025.
Before my I-485 approval, my employer filed an H-1B extension in October 2025. The H-1B extension was still pending when my I-485 was approved.
Today, September 22, 2026, I noticed that the H-1B extension case status changed to “Request for Evidence (RFE).”
Has anyone experienced an H-1B RFE after their I-485 was already approved and Green Card was issued?
Does this RFE require a response, and can it have any impact on my already-approved I-485/Green Card?
I would appreciate any experiences or guidance. Thank you!
More than 2 years after filing and 8 months after Interview
PD july 2024. interview Jan 2026. Silence since then;( not sure why it’s taking so long. I submitted e-request but they saod it’s within normal processing. any insight is appreciated:)

I have filed the I751 in Feb 2023
In Feb 22 of 2023, I received I797 to extend my Green Card 48months
In May 2026, the USCIS received my RFE
Today is 25th Sep 2026, I received another I797 letter, which is exactly the same with my previous I797
does anyone have the same issue?

CBP New Delhi in-person interviews
Hi everyone,
I recently heard that CBP New Delhi is conducting in-person interviews for people who are stuck in India while traveling on Advance Parole.
Has anyone here attended one of these interviews recently? If yes, was there any outcome afterward? Were you able to travel back to the U.S. after the interview?
I also heard that some of these interviews can last around 4 hours. Is that true?
If anyone has gone through this process or knows someone who has, could you please share your experience? Any information would be really helpful.

I filed my I-485 in July 2025 and had my biometrics appointment in August. My wife, however, was never scheduled for biometrics.
Now, after roughly 450 days of waiting, we received a notice saying that USCIS is reusing her previous biometrics from another case and has started processing them.
There have also been a lot of silent updates on my case throughout this whole time. At one point, it was transferred from NBC to the Field Office, and later it was sent back to NBC.
So I’m curious what you guys think. Is it a positive sign that they’re finally working on my wife’s biometrics, or is this just a routine update that doesn’t really indicate anything?
I’m the primary applicant.

changing sponsors after interview
hello everyone . I am reaching out to you all because I am extremely concerned about my pending EB-3 unskilled green card case and would sincerely appreciate your guidance.
My wife and I attended our interview approximately one year ago, and our case remains under review. I have been continuously working for my sponsoring employer,
for approximately four years. I have never changed my sponsor and have continued working for the employer throughout this process.
Approximately three months ago, a fraud detection officer came to my workplace while I was working and interviewed me for about one hour. She asked detailed questions about my employment, including how I obtained my job and the nature of my work. She also requested that I provide my W-2s and pay stubs by email. At that time, I was working approximately 25 to 30 hours per week. I have documentation supporting my employment, including W-2s and pay stubs.
Recently, I learned that my sponsoring employer may reportedly be under investigation for possible immigration-related fraud. I have also heard that some employees have left the company after obtaining their green cards. In addition, I know of a friend who works at the same store and was going through a similar immigration process whose application was recently denied. Naturally, this has caused me significant concern about my own case.
I want to emphasize that my employment has been genuine and have consistently maintained employment. I am prepared to provide any documentation necessary to demonstrate the authenticity of my employment.
My wife is included in my immigration case as my dependent, and we also have a 10-month-old child who is a U.S. citizen. Because my family's future is directly affected by this case, I want to make sure that I take the appropriate steps and do not unintentionally jeopardize our immigration status.
Could you please advise me on the following:
Should I continue working for my current sponsoring employer while my EB-3 case remains pending?I want to avoid this field office since this field office is investigating our sponsor for fraud.
Would changing employers be possible at this stage, and if so, how could it affect my pending case?
Does the reported investigation involving my employer create any particular risk for my case, even though my employment has been genuine and continuous?
Is there anything I should do now to protect my case, such as gathering additional employment records or other evidence.
I have worked hard and followed the immigration process for many years, and this situation has caused me considerable stress. I would be very grateful for your professional guidance on what I should do next and whether there are any immediate steps I should take.

Feb 2022 PD, BDV client here. I recently received my RFE by mail, and it’s asking for everything—new medical, Supplement J/bonafide job, employment verification, pay stubs, W-2s, 1040, employment verification letter, etc.
I’ve already contacted BDV, but I’ve heard they can sometimes take a while to respond, especially with the new attorney situation.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation, how did you handle your RFE? Did you send everything through BDV/lawyer, they prepare everything and send it to uscis or did you prepare and submit it yourself? Would really appreciate hearing your experience. 🙏

Hello guys, have very interesting case to share with community, So my i 140 aprroved on 2024 year and i filled i485 adjustment of status. So after year and 3 month my i140 aprroved i got request for medical which i did on time i havent recieved any update for 4 month and i called them for update and they said my 485 was approved and i will recieve approval notice in mail within week. after that i travled to my home country hoping i will recieve my gc. but once i got home i recieved rfe for 485 saying i have to prove i got legally parolled to us within two years which i did and i send all the docs to mail with my lawyer and i got denied and left in my country. please share any knowledge that would be helpful or anyone got same situation like me thanks
