H-1B Extension RFE After I-485 Approval and Green Card Issuance
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on my situation.
My I-485 was approved on December 19, 2025, and my physical Green Card was produced on December 30, 2025.
Before my I-485 approval, my employer filed an H-1B extension in October 2025. The H-1B extension was still pending when my I-485 was approved.
Today, September 22, 2026, I noticed that the H-1B extension case status changed to “Request for Evidence (RFE).”
Has anyone experienced an H-1B RFE after their I-485 was already approved and Green Card was issued?
Does this RFE require a response, and can it have any impact on my already-approved I-485/Green Card?
I would appreciate any experiences or guidance. Thank you!

I feel you should ask your lawyer. In my opinion I don’t think there is need to respond to the H-1B. This case might require you withdrawing the H-1B case. But please seek a professional advice from your lawyer because it depends on the grounds which the green card was approved.
