Hi everyone, I wanted to get some advice about my case. My I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) was filed on November 27, 2022, and the last update I have is: “Case is still being processed” (December 2022). Since then, I haven’t received any updates at all, and it’s now been over 3 years. My questions: - Is this kind of delay normal for I-130 cases? - Should I submit an inquiry or contact USCIS? - At what point can I consider the case outside normal processing time? - Has anyone had a similar timeline and eventually got approved? EB-2 perm based filing: Process initiation: January 2022 Priority date: March 1st 2023 Filing date: July 18th 2024 Biometrics appointment: August 7, 2024 Transfer from NBC to Phoenix FO (non-local, confirmed by Emma chat): September 2025 Transfer from Phoenix FO to Washington FO (local): January 2026 Approval: April 15 2026 Congressional inquiries: 1. January 2025 2. August 2025 3. December 2025 4. April 2025 - Comment on congressional inquiries: Overall cookie cutter responses from USCIS but the last one seemed to have helped push my case forward. General DOs and DON’Ts (my opinion): DO: - use congressional inquiries - find distractions to not think about your case 24/7 - find patience within your faith if you practice (very helpful when your case is stuck and you see peers getting approved within months) DON’T: - check tracking apps too often (I’m guilty but it drives anxiety up) - try to control what you can’t control which is trying to figure out the approval speed of your case - base your happiness and life around the green card - you are smart (all of you) and talented. You can succeed everywhere in the world! I’m still in shock as a big part of my life revolved around my application. I never thought it was gonna take more than 4 years from start to finish. Huge thanks to this community here for keeping people optimistic. For those of you still waiting, stay patient, use what you can (congressional inquiries), and trust in God. Thanks be to God!

Hi, long story my sijs was filed on september 3 2025 when i was 20 , but it was rejected due to invalid payment authorization credit card form was submitted by attorney using their office card., in which my attorney said they had funds everything was proper and blamed uscis that they didn’t process the payment at all after a month they refiled my petition requesting to rectify date , but i got october 3 2025 date when im 21 , and couple days ago on april 17th i got notice of intent to deny from uscis that im aged out when i filed , i told my attorney he wants another 2k$ which i don’t why should i pay, i paid 13k$ should i be trying to recover that money? Somehow

eb2 or eb3 by USCIS

I had eb2 India i140 approved. PD dec 2013 In 2020 - When Eb3 moved forwarded , filed a combo i140 and i485, medicals together. Dates retrogressed. Eb3 I140 is approved. June 2022 - Again when eb2 dates progressed , I interfiled. Obviously USCIS cannot give you update on whether interfiled is accepted Now eb2 India is at July 2014, eb3 India is stuck at Nov 2013 What is the possibility my application can be processed in eb2 queue ? My last communication to USCIS is interfiling. What’s the hope if that will be honored ?

GreenCard approved today without interview

I-485 approved today without interview. Married to LPR , filed in March 2023, I-130 got approved in July 2023, spouse got US citizenship in December 2023, wrote many letters in 2024 to upgrade my category, RFE( medical) submitted in May 2025 ( got expired after 2 years), API updates this month( April 2, April 10, April 17, April 20). got an email on April 17 ( action taken) but it just changed to Case is being actively reviewed, Today morning got another email ( action taken) , just saw approval notice under documents. All the best to the ones who are still waiting. Your turn will come sure.
