Received an email "Action taken on your case"
I-485 Approval Pending, EAD+AP combo received few months back. I received an email from USCIS saying an action taken on Oct 31st. it appears to be a AP fee notice upload. My question is it purely an admin update to upload the letter or is it because my file was picked up and system triggered as they are taking necessary actions on my I-485 application.
Email received - Oct 31st
Doc attached - Nov 1st (AP Fee Notice)
Case remains to be under processing with Interview waived off on May 9th 2025. the application is being processed in NBC. Any comments would be appreciated.
GRENEED AFTER 5 YEARS 💚💚
Today my Green Card journey finally comes to an end! The officer at RDJ consulate didn’t seem very familiar with my case, a VAWA self-petition, but everything went well, thank God!
I’m so grateful for everyone who helped me along the way. May God give you strength and may His will be done in your life, just as it was in mine.
concerned Eb4 backlog!
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to remind all of you about the bill that Congress introduced in June 2025 — the Protect Vulnerable Immigrant Youth Act. This bill would finally fix the long delays and backlogs that all SIJ youth are suffering in the EB-4 category.
We all have a Congressman in our district. Please take a few minutes to contact them.
You can send them a message online or call their office. It doesn’t cost anything, and your voice truly matters.
If more of us reach out, Congress will see that this issue is important and urgent for thousands of young people. Even a short message helps — it shows them that we care and we are paying attention.
Let’s support each other and push for this change together.
We can’t do everything alone, but every message makes a difference.
Thank you all, and please take one minute to contact your representative today. 🙏🏽
questions ❓❓❓
so we filed another case after first was denied and appeal not responded to. I looked at my case progress today for the i-485 it states that step 3 is completed and the current step is case decision does this mean I won't have an interview? estimated time is 15 months
for the EAD. its current step is case decision with estimated time of 3 months for decision . they refused my biometrics.
my questions are:
1. will I have to attend another interview? I already had one with our first filing and
2. are the estimated times real expectation?
3. anyone who file before and had an approved EAD how long did it take to have the EAD approved on second filing if they rescued biometrics?
thank you in advance.
issues with original entry visa
recent interview & the officer asked a couple questions about my husbands ex gf which I thought was weird. a few days after we received and intent to deny because when he went to get his entry visa in 2019 he went to a place that filled his application electronically and the woman put that he was married because at the time he lived with his ex and their child.
1. His home country has no record oh him ever being married before and we are trying to get the proof, translate them amd then email to uscis all before Dec 1st.
2. we have to prove he had no idea that the woman put he was married until the interview.
we are so scared after all our hard work and waiting that we might still get a denial and my poor husband is a mess.
any advice? anyone else been in such a situation?

Glory be to God! This journey has finally come to an end.
yesterday’s interview was really hard. But today Lawfully alerted me that a decision has been made and my case has been approved!
Glory be to God!
if you are going through your Vawa journey , don’t give up. I filed- Jan 2022 & - approval came November 2025, Don’t give up, trust in God! The Days are long, but we serve a God who keeps his promise.
NVC Question
So I'm still waiting for my mom's interview letter from NVC but my question is does she really need to bring all original documents from the petitioner to the NVC to show? like W2s in my case all my W2s is online so the only thing I can do is to sent it through her email and make her print it out.
For those who already had their embassy interview — did you bring the docs of your petitioner with you? Or was a photocopy and printed enough? Just want to double-check what they actually looked for during the interview. Thanks!
