Case Approved
USCIS Approval!!🎉🎉
After 390 long days our paperwork was finally approved and we're just waiting on our welcome letter from the NVC. My husband currently lives in Fiji, but we're wondering is there something else we should be doing in the meantime while we're waiting for the letter? Also, does anyone have an idea of how long until he'll be able to join me in the states from this point?

I-765 GC EAD approved
so I expedited on the 28th Dec directly by talking to a USCiS agent (Didnt hear anything on this , was told no officer was assigned to it due to backlog) . I then asked my congresswoman to expedite , they expedited on the 21st (I reached out to them today to see if there is an update, they said they dont, will need to wait, USCIS responds to them within 30 buisness days.
I did my 2nd expedite yesterday (the agent asked me if I wanted to do a new expedite request) I got an email asking me to fax supporting doc as evidence. I faxed the docs around early afternoon. Seeing few people here and there who sent the supporting docs /expedited , got an approval the next day. I hope its the same for me / anyone
I submitted a copy of my current EAD, my lease agreement, current job offer which states what project I am working on (contributing towards technology advancement) and a cover letter with the inquiry letter I received from USCIS on the 27th . I got approved today.

case approved!!!
hello guys!!!
so finally after waiting for little over 1.5 years our interview was scheduled at POrtland though our FO was SEattle ,but USCIS is shifting Seattle cases to Portland these days. I have seen many people’s interview at Portland instead of Seattle. We reached half an hour in advance as it was a long que waiting for us. Our interview was at 1.30 but our officer was probably busy so we were only called in at 2:00.
Other than customary yes or no question he only asked about how we met and routine questions such as who cooks and where have you travelled together. We were carrying many documents to support our case such as financials, originals birth certificates , photo album and any normal document which we all know by now.The officer only flipped through our photo album hurriedly and dint ask for any other document , we did try to push through but he seems ok without documetns .The over all vibe was relaxed and he seemed content .He did talk a bit about his travel and some experiences casually.
By the end of the interview which barely lasted for 25-30 mins he informed that our case is approved and said if we want to ask any questions, when we dint have any he explained the conditional Green card residency rule as our marriage is few months less than 2 years and the procedure there on for a 10 year green card and citizenship if someone wants to apply .
i got the update ‘New card is being produced “ in 15 mins and case is approved the next day . In nut shell i can say it is stressful yet easy when you actually crack it. I know each officer is different but by and large they are sincere and diligent with their work . i would be happy to answer any specific question for the interview. i am thankful to all the fellow members here who replied to my queries often silly here . i am grateful for their time and knowledge so i wanna spread the little knowledge i have around. I have attached my timeline as well so you guys can have an idea . Good luck and stay blessed . i still wanna be an active member of this community and hope the same from you guys as the info we share is free and mostly accurate.

today we had our interview at Charleston FO.
it went well, we didn’t get approved on the spot.
the IO told us that he can’t do it because he needs to check all the entrances I had to the US ( I traveled to México too many times) and he wanted to be sure if they have to apply to me the 3 year bar. I really was thinking that it going to take long time to see “new card is being produced” on my USCIS account. It takes like 7 hours until I saw it. I’m glad that this first step is over and I hope everyone of you have good news soon. keep the faith my friends, keep the faith.
