Visto K1 Aprovado!

still waiting
I’m starting to get concerned/losing hope. I filed standalone I-130 on September 21, 2023. My husband is abroad in Spain and doing consular processing. it’s been well over 500 days since I received the receipt notice. The last update I got from USCIS was September 22,2023 saying that it is being actively reviewed. I reached out to the congressperson for an update and have not heard anything. It’s been almost a month. Is there anything I can do other than wait? is this normal? it really sucks seeing people already done with the whole process and we haven’t had a single update. Also getting concerned with everything happening in government rn that it’s going to be even slower than it already is. advice?

Getting a Prima Facie after 20 months of filling.
I feel like when we’re under this process we get frustrated a lot. That’s my case. I never received a Prima Facie when I fist filed, and it sorta made me feel like something was wrong, I know it’s juts probably in my head, but when you’re doing this process you need as many positive things as you can get. I asked my attorney many times to ask USCIS if they’re going to issue one because I needed to apply for FAFSA, and we tried probably three times to reaching out to them and never got an answer. Last month I reached out to my congressman asking for assistance. I explained my situation and told them that I needed USCIS to issue a Prima Facie, or at least let me know if they needed some extra evidence to issue one. Mind you I was not asking to adjudicate my case. After 10 days of receiving my request they finally issue my PG. I know it might not mean much for some of you guys, but I want you to get from this is that if you really want to get your case moving, we gotta push forward, ask for answer. Maybe if they get fed up of us asking they finally give us some answers.
Good luck to you all and I hope we can all get our approvals soon! 🙏🏻

Approved 🎉(I-131 travel document)
I just got my I-131 approved! I don’t have any plans to travel right now, but it’s good to have it. I’m still waiting for my I-130 and I-485, but it’s progress. I’m keeping my prayers up!
