Hi all, I became a US Citizen today.
I went for my I-751 and N-400 combo interviews this morning at the Baltimore field office. Both interviews lasted about 15 minutes, and as the icing on the cake, I was offered a same-day oath ceremony, an offer I couldn't refuse. I became a Citizen at 3 p.m. today.
To those who are still waiting, keep faith alive, be patient, and try to stay straight with the law, and you will soon share your story on this platform as well.
Sooooooo Slow!
It's taking soooo long. My mom won't buy me a house unless the GC is secured. I really need a bigger place to live with my 18months baby. My mom willing to pay $3500/mo rent but not owning one. 1B Apt is soooo small. I feel so sorry to my baby. She needs bigger room to play around.

🥺🥺cuando??
Before starting the process, I had been married to my husband for exactly 2 years. We have a son and everything to prove that our process is real and good. We thought it was going to be the shortest time. And I was a little hopeful because my friend sent her documents a month before me and was approved in 4 months. She doesn't have a child and she started her documents two months after being married to the person. The truth is, I feel very desperate.

Interview completed
Hey guys , just completed my interview , it went well was for about 20 mins
it was more of a conversation than an interview, she asked us to take the oath , said our I 130 was approved since we have a child , asked who is the favorite cook , what are the plans for my birthday since it’s tomorrow. how long the drive was , how did I come in the US , what visa I came in , then asked me the normal yes/ no questions from the i485 and said our case is pretty easy that our case was meant to be waived but now it’s mandatory for interviews
she didn’t ask for any documents or anything .
got an active review as we stepped out
told me she sent it to her supervisor and recommended for approval

Consular Processing in Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷/ CR-1 visa - Spouse
Does anyone know how long is it taking to schedule the interview at the embassy after submitting the civil documents ? I already paid the fees and I am gathering all the necessary documents to submit.

Finalllyyyyy!!! case approved
I traveled home and back on my advance parole in January 2025. I received an update on my case right after (in February) our interview was scheduled for Apr 2. a day later it was canceled and then the following day it was rescheduled for Apr 16. my husband I attended the interview and instead of an in person interview it was virtual. we brought our 3 kids, first 2 from previous relationships and the baby from our marriage. the officer pretty much asked for my husbands birth certificate and any document that proves he's a US citizen. my husband did not have any document since he got his citizenship when his mom became a us citizens (he was a minor) then he joined the military. he had nothing but his US passport to prove this. Mind you, we did the paperwork ourselves and we did not send his naturalization paperwork, we thought the passport was enough. I still believe if we had more proof of his citizenship we wouldn't have to attend any interview. but anyway, the interviewer asked us how we met and when the relationship became serious. we told him we grew up in the same community back home and we've been together since we were kids. the only questions directed to me were the yes/no questions from the 485.
today we got an update that our case has been approved. we couldn't be happier. if I end up pregnant again, we all know why 🤣 we just gon call the baby “approved” 🤣😭😭 thanks to all of you who gave me hope and encouragement. stay strong my lawfully family, hang in there. ill stay here to answer any questions regarding the process and my timeline and give my full support
