Certificate of Good Conduct/ Police Clearance Certificate
Hey everyone! My husband finally received his interview letter from Djibouti after a long wait of 12 months.
My lawyer informed me that having a police clearance or a good conduct certificate is not mandatory for his appointment. she explained that Yemen certificates are not considered reliable. However, when I searched online, I found that a police clearance is required and doesn’t expire until two years if he hasn’t left the country. He already obtained a police clearance certificate over a year ago, but I’ve heard reports of people being informed during their interview that the certificate can’t be older than six months.
Does anyone have any insights or information on this matter?

We applied for our green cards in late 2019, had our interview in 2021, and since then have only been renewing our EADs. Despite multiple follow-ups by us and our lawyer, there’s been no progress.
Meanwhile, my partner has stopped contributing financially, saying I earn more. I’ve been covering rent and expenses, including his vacations, yet when I suggest a small getaway together, he claims he’s too busy.
I confided in a colleague, and my boss offered company sponsorship. Their lawyer says it’s possible to file while my current case is pending, but a separate lawyer I consulted claimed I’d have to leave the U.S. I'm confused and not sure which direction to take.
TRES AÑOS Y AÚN NADA PUES A SEGUIR ESPERANDO…🤣🤣🤣
Para cuando mi Dios enti esta puesta mi confianza espero que pronto pueda tener buenas noticias y algún tenga mi aprobación 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I-130 & I-129F
Hello-
I submited the I-130 for my husband pd(8/7/24). In March 2025 I submitted an I-129F(k-3) because I was told it would speed up the approval of the i-130. I have yet to receive any notifications.. Impatiently awaiting for the day to come, and finally see an approval from USCIS. Long way to go after that, since it’s outside of US -NVC and consulate processing.
My processing office is Vermont Service Center for both applications.
Has anyone from August gotten any approval, that underwent similar procedure?.

Married to Green Card Holder While on pending Asylum — What Are My Options ?
I have a pending asylum case and recently got married to a green card holder. Now my spouse wants to apply for my green card. I’m trying to understand what my options are.
One lawyer told me I can’t do anything until my spouse becomes a U.S. citizen. Another lawyer said I can file the I-130 petition now, but not the I-485 application.
Is anyone else in a similar situation who can share their experience or give some guidance? I feel really lost. Please help
Interview was requested, but not scheduled yet February application Chicago FO
Chatted with live agent several times and they saying my interview was requested in March but haven’t been scheduled yet, does it really takes 3+ months to schedule an interview even if the application been processed and in line? Is this is a norm?

Dec 23, no updates yet
Hi everyone,
Another month with no updates yet. My I-140 was received Dec 28, 2023 (actively being reviewed since Jan 8, 2024).
There’s been some activity on my block, but nothing yet for me. Processing time went up to 17 months, but I’m already at 17.5 months… only choice is to keep waiting!

EB1A EAD Timeline Question
Hey everyone. My i-485 and i-765 were both received on 03/24/2025. Biometrics were done on 04/17.
I understand the i-485 takes times, and it's okay, I can wait, but I'm wondering why the EAD is taking too long.
I've seen posts (here and on Reddit) where people have gotten their i-765s as little as one day after their biometrics, some in a week or two, even a month.
It's going to be almost 3 months. Last time my i-765's API was updated was 06/09 based on an address change, before that it was on 05/30.
Anyone dealing with a similar situation? Or has any idea how long I can expect to wait?
Thanks!

Update
I received an sms and email notification this morning that USCIS have taken action on my case. I have since signed into my account and there’s nothing. been refreshing the page all day and still no update. My i485 is still in CRP since Nov 2023 and my EAD renewal still says actively been reviewed since April 2025. Anybody experienced this before? PD is Feb 2023.
