Green Card
Does anyone know when my son who is over 21 will get his Green card? I filled for Vawa and I filled for my son as well. I was told he would get his green card after I became a US citizen, how true is that ?

@Esther Ann yes your Son will get green card like you. my Vawa was approved and in August my daughter was sent a letter to go do Biometrics and an RFE for medical they never sent anything to me so I am guessing they want to give my daughter her GC first

@Ebele damsel Did you submit your medical exam (Form I-693) when you applied for the I-360? Have you done your biometrics yet?
Ebele damselDec 10, 2025
@Esther Ann No I did not. had my first biometrics before I switched my case to VAWA

when I did mine, I filed for myself and my kids and we all got our greencards at the same time; but my kids are less than 18.
since your son is 22, I don’t know how that works. you might have to google about it or ask a lawyer.

I just read a little about and from what I gathered, if your son was under 21 when you filed your vawa, he can still be a derivative. but if you filed your vawa after he turned 21, then no.
