GC approved
I was expecting getting GC by the end of 2023 or early 2024, but it was approved much faster than I thought. I didn’t know I-131 will be canceled if I travel with valid visa. After receiving RFE for I-131, I was panicking and checked Lawfully, casestatusext.com, hilites.today and Reddit to see status of other applicants with closer # and/or situations. I saw some of them got approval faster, so I calmed down and decided not to resubmit I-131 application. It seems GC approval for EB-3 is getting faster these days, expecially after cases are transferred to NBC. Thank you for this community. Wish you all good luck.

I-130 approved after nearly a year
my initial letter said it was at Texas service center. my approval letter came from California service center. Not sure exactly why it's like that but wanted to let others know who are around the same timeframe as me
I'm about to go through the consular processing which looks like will take 9 months

I-864 Income Requirement
Hi everyone, I am a Permanent Resident and filing for my spouse. Since I am a recent resident, I have income of only 1.5 years, and the income from the last year satisfies the income requirement ad per the poverty guideline.. In I-864, they ask me to report income for three years.
Do you know if I should have a joint sponsor? Thanks for your help.
Dependent not received GC after 2 months of primary approved
Hi community,
My wife and I applied back in September. I received my GC around 2 months ago but there have been no update on the dependent's case. Does anyone have similar experience? our case was originally in LA field office.
it has become very frustrating.
N-400 Boston interview and same-day oath
I-751 May 2021, approved Jan 2023.
N-400 Aug 2022, approved May 2023
11 AM appointment, was called in maybe 10 mins past. Cordial officer, punctual, immediately got down to business. Started with the civics portion:
- Mississippi, Missouri
- Chief Justice John G. Roberts
- 100 Senators
- Supreme Court
- 18+ to serve in the military
- 4 year term for President, 2 terms max
We joked that the IO could keep going and we'll mark that as my score out of a 100.
Forget the reading and writing portion, but we joked about the descent of penmanship, particularly on their clunky tablets with a fat stylus.
Summarized the N-400 yes/no questions in batches. Immediately stood up, patted me on the shoulder, shook my hand, and said they're doing same-day oath upstairs and I'll walk out of the building a citizen today.
Don't think I was in the IO's office longer than 15 mins.
It was waiting for the nats certificate and to batch a few that interviewed on the day, with a scheduled oath for those coming in from afar, that took a couple hours. Was still out by 2 PM, so a late lunch.
Now, this officer was prepared, had gone through my file, and was extremely efficient. Pleasant experience, but mine was also a strong, clean, complete, and an easy case.
Re. same-day oaths, I inquired the administrator conducting the ceremonies, and he said you could have a week with no same-day oaths, to a week with 3 same-day oaths. The field office decides based on variables like interviewees driving in from afar, or older populations that they batch when scheduling appointments, too, so as not to inconvenience them with repeat long treks. If one is lucky enough to be scheduled on this day of critical mass, they gain the benefit of same-day oath. Rest are subject to open slots on the judicial calendar of the courts that manage swearing-in ceremonies, including naturalization oath ceremonies, which could again be in a couple week, or a couple month.
Will surely add additional inference if anything else comes to mind.
