PRIORITY DATE
hello guys, how does the priority date affect the processing of ones case?
for example, my priority date is April 2019. I understand it is the date you first filed the papers, but what does it do to processing time? Does it mean my case has to be processed during the month of April only?
Anyone waiting for interview >9 years at the Los Angeles Asylum office?
Supposedly there are about 700k pending asylum cases right now, 180k out of the ~700k are pending old cases before LIFO was interposed (2017 and older)
I read only 15k interviews (about 3%) for old cases are being conducted per fiscal year or 1,200/month, in average. Praying for everyone waiting! Specially us long-suffering aplicants 🙏

Does filing I-140 mean work authorization is extended
Does filing form I-140 automatically extend work authorization?
Form I-140 has been received and notice of receipt has been issued but I am yet to receive actual letter in the mail.
Do I file form I-765 to extend work authorization or it automatically is extended when I-140 is filed.
