I765 closed due to status received by other means
Hi,
I filed I-485, I-765 and I-131 concurrently. Today I received a status update on my I-765. The update was that it is now closed due “to the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means”.
Does anyone know what this means?
I-765 was Approved
Couple of days ago I saw my case was approved on my USCIS online account. but I still dont see it on my timeline. i hope it’s not a glitch. #I-589 #i-765

change of name
Hi all, need some advice. I want to change my name to previous married name. I am on my second marriage but it was very violent and I filed vawa. I have gotten my EAD CO9 only but I want to change to my previous married name not my maiden name for personal reasons. I want to know how to go about it. I came here on my previous married name. please any advice on how to go about it pr has anyone gone through this process?

I know that many of us are wondering what are the processing times for this and similar cases . I wanted to share my experience. It took 37 days for card to be produced.
After exactly 30 days the approval notice was available on my USCIS account under documents tab and I received it in my mailbox exactly 7 days after. Just the next day the case status was changed to ‘card was produced.’

I-765 status- what does this mean?
“we closed your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number MSC239046***, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means.”
I filed I-485, I-131 and I-765 together.
I know my GC can’t be approved as I am not current and I have also not submitted my medicals.
Has my I-765 been denied? or is it an error from USCIS on the status update?
Could somebody share the history if that happened to them in the past?
any issue to go back home after asylum closed with no updates
Hi. Got my GC in 2022 through my spouse. Had an pending asylum which never had any update and got that closed after getting GC through marriage case. Is it ok to travel back home country without any issue? The issue I had of fear personal reason is changed in my country and rules have gotten better and LGBT marriage got legal in 2022 too. So I don’t have threat I possessed in 2015 when I initially filed asylum.
