interview
hi guys, it is already fifth week after our interview, and I talked with my lawyer about that and he told me it is because of travel. i traveled to my country two times, first was for emergency and stayed 20 days, second I left USA after couple of days our interview because of health problems, I traveled without my wife two times too, lawyer told me this is the reason for no update and it might be home visit or second interview. thanks all
What happened to EAD when 485 reopen after denial
My 485 was recently reopened after we filed 290b motion (it was denied because I made mistakes on RFE.)
On the denial letter it says my EAD/AP would be revoke after 18 days of the letter, which has already passed.
Now since the 485 case is reopen, does anyone know if I should apply for new Combo card? How does this work? Do I need to pay if I have to reapply?
Timeline for reference
June 2 485 denied
June 27 290b motion to reopen filed
July 24 475 reopen
I-485 / I-130 Concurrent filing - US Citizen sponsoring Parent
I am hoping to receive some guidance/info on a medical RFE response. My mom received the RFE for medical from the USCIS on March 1, 2023. The completed paperwork was delivered on March 16, 2023, per our tracking info given my our immigration attorney.
It's been over 4 months now without any response from USCIS. Our immigration attorney tells us to be patient. My mom's online account says she has passed the response date, and USCIS will consider this when reviewing her case.
We have completed a service request online but that has been one month without any response from USCIS. Has anyone else been in this situation? Do we just sit back and be "patient" as our immigration attorney tells us to do? Any feedback will be appreciated.
We filed our case on 7/29/22 at the Dallas FO.

“we have taken action on your case” but there’s no change in my cases
I received an e-mail this morning from USCIS saying “we have taken an action on your case” but there is no change to any of my cases. Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea of what it could be? I really got my hopes up thinking my green card had been approved 😔
