N-400- Oath ceremony was mailed. Finally my journey is done.
#N400 #Citizenship #Immigration I share my timeline with experience I had, hopefully it helps people who waiting for decision too long. I posted last time I passed interview Civic test and i-751 was approved, but I did not receive Oath of ceremony notice for 5 months. If you wait for more than 120 days after passed Naturalization test, you have not received decision for your application, you can try this way: 1. Find your local Congressman or Senator, contact them by email, send them letter with your words, your timeline include your receipt, interview, result notice after passed interview. I read a lot of people do this way and they get help by Congressman. Unfortunately, after 3 months passed interview, I contacted the first Congressman in my state through his website, staff of Congressman called me the next day to ask about my case, but he recommended waitting while it was over 120 days after interview 😒. Don't give up, I tried second time, contacted the Congresswoman, 1 week I didn't hear anything back from them, I sent more messages through her website, you will see the contact info on their website, staff of Congresswoman called me the next day, she asked about case, why I sent multiple messages, I had anything like emergency, I said no, I didn't have emergency, I just need to know why my case hadn't been approved, why it was "being actively reviewed for 3 months". She said my case was in normal time processing, notthing to do right now, just wait........ I'm so sad, but after 5 months nothing changed, I tried one more time with the third Senator in my state. this time, instead I sent messages through their website, I wrote a long letter by word, told them everything, luckily, the staff of Senator replied email very fast, he sent a form, I filled and signed in, 2 days later my case status was updated, from "case is being actively reviewed" to "Oath ceremony will be scheduled" and 3 days later "Oath notice was mailed" 2. way 2: the day I contacted Senator, I sent a letter by mail to the officer who interviewed me. Asked him about my case, anything I need to send to expedite my case faster. this way works with a lot of people I know. in my case after I passed interview, someone didn't update my status, I sucked in "being actively reviewed", that is the reason I sent email to the first Congressman, they told me should wait although it was over 3 months after interview. I lived chat with an agent by Emma over 10 times they didn't help anything, just wait and wait, one of them told me I will be scheduled for interview while my interview was done. Some people are lucky with their journey done in 4 months, but some people are not. Like me, I submitted and passed interview in 3 months, I was happy but after that the officer who forgot to update my case or anything else, keep me in waiting forever. Be patient, don't give up, if you are right, you are right. I tried 3 times to find people helping to make decisions, it worked. I thought I can so you can. I read a lot of people waiting for a year or more, hopefully you will be done soon. 🤩🤩🤩 applied: December 2022 Oath of allegiance: September 2023 9 months is not too long compared to someone who is waiting for interview for a year. I had an experience so I understand what it was 🙂🙂🙂 I thought I should ask Attorney helping my case, but I searched Google a lot and asking some people in group N-400 on Facebook (you can find and join group, they are very nice and help you for free), a lot of them had same situation, case by case, everyone was different, by your knowledge you can find the best way for yourself. I don't mind if you want I share a sample letter, send a message to my email, vctt.2414@gmail.com.
