n400 & i751 combo interview decision can’t be made
hello guys
So I had my N400 combo interview last week August 2. I went with my spouse cos I have a pending i751. We went through the security check point and wen I got called in by the interviewing officer, she asked if this was my spouse, I said yes, she told him to wait for me at the reception while I went in with her.
So in short I was interviewed alone, immediately I got into her office, I was happy wen I saw my i751 file right in front of her. So she went tru the civic questions, and told me I passed and said she can’t make a decision because she needs to look through my i751 file. I asked wen I should be expecting a decision she said i should give it a week or 2 weeks or maybe a month and in 120 days I can go to court.
The wait is rather frustrating! Is there anyone else waiting for a decision after n400 interview? My field office is in Santa Ana
Receive case decision
I have submitted I-765 form and it was received on May 17,2023. On mid of July, when I checked the case at USCIS website, it says check biometrics, and was completed within 2 days. Since that time, I am on step 3 " Receive case decision", and it still current. Any idea when I might get the decision (approval/denial)? My job start date gets closer and closer.
Also, is there a way to expedite the processing time, or it is not worth and not recommended in my case? #I765 #processingtime
I-130 Mistakenly Filed Online Instead of Consulate
Curious if anyone has requested and expedited case after filing online. I was unaware that consulate processing was available to us in Germany, and am concerned our case won’t be finalized before we PCS in February. I recently submitted a request through our representative, and am hoping it works. any help, advice, expectations and/or prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Just hoping to keep my family together. 🙏🏾

Live agent update
hello everyone.
I had a conversation with a live agent today about my case, it’s been on “actively reviewed” over 6 months and that’s the agent answer.
“The case is processing with the national benefits center. the case was last reviewed by this office on 0 8 / 0 1/2 0 2 3. The case is undergoing processing checks at this time. The interview was waived on 0 1 / 2 71 2 0 2 3. No RFEs have been issued.”
any thoughts? thank you!
Yemeni Citizen - Djibouti Embassy
Just figured I’ll make this post to help others who are in similar situations understand a little how the process was, at least for us.
USCIS took exactly a year (365 days) to get the approval.
NVC DQ’d the first week of October.
NVC appointment e-mail first week of February. (Tried to expedite multiple times but got denied each time.)
Interview date around the last week of March.
We arrived in Djibouti about 10 days before the interview and that was more than enough time to get the medical done and get situated. (Just in case people wanted to know. The medical cost us about $400)
The interview I guess was simple. They checked that we had all the paperwork that we uploaded to NVC and we brought additional evidence such as money transfers, chat logs, pictures, etc.
Got the approval and received the visa about 4 days after the interview date.
Couple things I wanted to note is, %99 of the people that were there to do their visa interviews and getting the visas were Yemeni, unfortunately though, most of them really didn’t know how to listen to instructions. Honestly, it was like a zoo just to obey simple instructions such as forming a line and not crowding next to the door or window. Or people that just arrived cutting the line and standing in front. Seriously it was embarrassing. That caused delays in us getting inside the Embassy to do our interviews, as if that isn’t stressful enough.
Anyways, I will try to answer some questions you guys might have if I can and I hope this helped a little.
Alhamdulillah ☝️my I 485 got approved - wish you all best of luck
This has been one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done in my life. I have not seen my family for almost four years since I filed my I-140. I guess now the wait is over and I will be able to see my family. I wish the best for all of you guys waiting and keeping your hopes high. I know it is tough but as long as you’re doing the right thing, your time will come.
Thanks to all of the support you guys provided throughout the years, from initial application, to inquiries, retrogressions, and more.
