DS260
Hi everyone, I have a question regarding filling out the DS-260.
When I received the welcome letter from the NVC, it included a list of required documents such as my birth certificate, police records, and passport. I obtained the police records, had them translated, and sent them to my lawyer. However, she told me that these documents were only needed at the interview, so she would not submit them. Since I am not a lawyer, I agreed at the time.
Months later, I became concerned about not being documentarily qualified (DQ). I insisted that she submit an inquiry to the NVC to ask about the delay. After I threatened to send it myself, she finally did.
Weeks later, the NVC responded, requesting what else? the police records.
She says it’s happening a lot lately, but I don’t think so.
Could this situation have been prevented? Do you think the lawyer should have known better?
I ended up having to resend the documents, pay again for translation, and now I am waiting for a response from the NVC.
No updates
It's been since June 27 that my application was filed (I-485, I-765, I-131), I'm done with biometrics around 3 weeks ago but no approval or any updates on I-765 / I-131.
Is this normal?

g56 call in notice.
hello we received a call in notice 50 days after our initial interview. The notice asks us to bring ALL IDs and passports. the reason for notice states “I-130, I-485”. has anyone else experienced this ? my lawyer wasn’t able to attend the original date so she talked to the officer and he rescheduled. we’re still waiting on the rescheduled appointment.
