Got my GREEN CARD in the mailbox today
I want to thank this community for its support over the past two years. Although I rarely post questions here, the responses to others' inquiries have been helpful.
What a day for me as I celebrate my birthday with my Green Card delivery at 2:45pm EST.

Biometric appointment 7/18/25

we’re right on the cusp like standing outside the bakery window watching our own green card croissant rise in the oven. It’s baking. It’s happening. It’s about to hit that Documents tab and we’ll be out here screenshotting it like a proud parent at graduation.
Honestly? we’ve put in the work, pushed through the bureaucracy boss-fight, survived the RFE side-quests, and now we’re staring at the final boss defeated notification. When that approval notice slides into the Documents section… chef’s kiss. Legacy moment.
Hang tight guys
USCIS moves like molasses in winter, but it does move. And we’re literally one digital breadcrumb away from the promised land.

After filing the Writ of Mandamus on my own, it didn’t take long before USCIS moved on my case. I’m honestly still shocked at how fast things changed once the court got involved. All I paid was the $405 filing fee and a bit for mailing, and now after more than two years of waiting, it’s finally done.
If anyone else is stuck in long delays, don’t lose hope. There is a way forward. I’ll keep sharing updates as my case continues, in case it helps someone going through the same struggle.
