Reaching out to Congressman
hi everyone,
my PD is Nov 28, 2023 so I’m past 17 months now.
I reached out to my senator (no reply) and congresswoman. She replied saying to contact back in a month since having them inquire can delay the case further… not sure if anyone has heard/experienced the same thing?
waiting for approval
It’s been over 16 months no update on my wife’s application. on April 2nd I received a notification email saying that “an action has been taken on your case please login to view the status”. I’ve been checking online regularly but there is no update. it’s so frustrating. I called them few times since they sent me the email. some say it’s automated response, but some say that your case has been sent to the local uscis office and it’s now actively being reviewed.
anyone else is in my shoes?

Hey Guys! My I130 petition has been finally approved after 14.5 long months of what seemed like forever! Thank you Lawfully community for the support. For those you still waiting, don't loose hope. you time is coming soon! I'd like to share my timeline leading up to the approval in hopes that it might give someone out there a peace of mind.

From February 28th, 2024 to May 12th, 2025, I've checked everyday in hopes of seeing an approval. The suggested time on the my progress tab has been up and down. It changed several times before being stuck at 7 months and then being eventually approved. My advice, completely disregard the timeframe displayed under the my progress tab. It's no where near accurate. As of today, approval of a consular processing I13O takes approximately 14.5 months if filed by a U.S. citizen. Hang in there everyone. Don't loose hope. Your time is coming.

MY i485 and i130 is pending and interview is done. i have renewed the i765 which is due on 5-17-2025.
i have received biometric appointment. and a new account to create on uscis. they assigned even new account number to me.
is it normal to request bimoetric. my last biometric was done in 7-12-2022

do they ask again bimoetric ?

Vawa derivate 22years old
Hello
my daughter was 19 when my I apply for Vawa.
now Vawa was approved she is now 22, my lawyer told me that she needs to file an i485 by herself (there might be a way to put her as my derivative they also said.)
if she can’t be under my i485 under which category (visa bulletin) does she fall to apply?
when I filed the petition I was still married.
The Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) does that help here ?
