scanned interview
I had my interview for Forms I-130 and I-485 in August 2024 in San Antonio. My I-130 was approved, but my I-485 was not approved at that time because no visa was available. The officer told me that if a visa became available, he would approve it.
Today I received a new update saying that I have been scheduled for another interview. I am not sure why this is happening. Has anyone experienced the same situation?

Don't panic. This happens sometimes. A lot has changed since your last interview. They might just want to get some updated information, or double check some things. It would be good to have updated evidence to bring with you.

This is normal, with the new USCIS directives emploring extreme vetting a second interview is to be expected especially since it has been over a year since your last interview.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask them in our next Lawfully office hours session!
