I-140 Approved Online but No Approval Notice Need Advice
Hi everyone,
My priority date has recently become current, and I am preparing to file my Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status).
However, I am facing an issue. I do not have a copy of my I-140 approval notice. When I check my case status on the USCIS website, it clearly shows that my I-140 is approved, but neither I nor my employer has the official approval notice.
According to my lawyer, the approval notice is not required since the case is already approved, and we can proceed with filing the I-485.
I just wanted to ask:
Has anyone filed I-485 without having the I-140 approval notice?
Is it safe to proceed this way, or should I try to obtain a copy before filing?
I would really appreciate your guidance and experiences.
