Self Filing or Lawyer
I need advice from those who have filed without legal assistance.
How advisable is it to file vawa by myself. I have all the documented evidence of abuse and I have filled the forms. I filed the initial i130 myself.
I have the funds to pay legal fees but feel like it’s wasted $6k when I can fill the forms and have everything required for a vawa filing.
I cannot make myself down. I have faith one day, I will break all these walls of backlogs and waitings. I am a lion, I step back to make 20 ft jump ahead. Green card is not just a card for me.
It has become a emotion now. Many family expectations and glimpse of happiness. Moved to different state for employer job. I used to make 8k in a month. Now, I make 1200 a month. it’s become a strange journey. Work is stressful. we ain’t make enough money and the time is being running. There won’t be anything complaining about time and money. No matter what, I have to accept it and move on until my pd of June 2021 comes in. Let’s not curse our luck just because we have to wait some more months. Accept the reality and move forward. There will be a day when we all be greened and cry the tears of happiness and satisfaction. No matter how much we get tired but we cannot just quit the race. Pain is temporary but victory is forever. I waited these many months, why not few more. Hope you all guys have power to fight this impatience and strangling moment. God bless us all.

Oct 23, 2023- N-400 Interview was scheduled for Nov 20, 2023
Nov 20, 2023 - N-400 Interview rescheduled due to needing a combo interview for I-751 & N-400 (USCIS error)
Nov 22, 2023 - I-751 transferred to NBC for final processing
Dec 13, 2023 - Combo interview & Oath ceremony notice was issued (for the NEW YEAR Jan 4, 2024) 🎉🥂
