I-765 Notice Explaining USCIS Actions was mailed
hello, this is regarding my EAD. applied for EAD 7 months ago.
Feb 12 - we canceled the request for additional evidence
Feb 21 - notice explaining uscis actions was mailed
uscis canceled RFE on their own, no RFE request was ever sent to me. what does this notice mean?
I-485 at local field office I-601 at nbc
talk to a few different live agents and they are telling me my interview has been waived and my i-485 is at my local field office and my I-601 is at nbc. my I-485 and I-130 were filed together in Jan 2023 and my I-601 filed about 6 months ago. I received a RFE for the I-485 in March of 2023 and responded right away for my birth certificate which my lawyer has already sent them and it’s still showing response to rfe received. my I-765 is still showing case was received. I just wanted to see if anyone knows what it means when they send your I-485 to your field office, I never received any notification that they transferred my case from NBC where it was originally. Also does NBC generally process I-601 waivers or will that also get transferred if so how long does I-601 waivers take to complete?
Jesus help us!
Well, it turns out that the Senator couldn’t do much for us to expedite our case. We got DQ’D in September and still waiting on an interview letter. It’s like I can feel my husband here, yet we have a gap between us of how long this side of the process takes. So far, we’ve been waiting for 5 month on the letter. According to others, it takes about 8 months to 10 months to get an interview date. That’s almost an entire year. How do you cope with the wait? #i130 #Nigeria #USA
i 485 adjustment of status
Hello everyone, please can anyone relate to this. I receive this notice on the 9th of February 2024,.
On February 9, 2024, we cancelled or descheduled the interview scheduled for your Form 1-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.
Green Card Approval
I received approval for my green card on December 29, 2023. However, the status on the USCIS website still shows "Case approved" and has not changed since then.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar situation or if you could help me find out what actions need to be taken next.
I-485 denied without any RFE
Hi All, today my wife’s I-485 got denied. The letter mentioned that she didn’t provide any i-797 approval notice. We applied for her I-485 based on my approved I-140 and I -485. So she is a derivative of my primary application. My lawyer told me that we don’t need to file for her I-130 as we got married before my gc got approved. We attached my i-140 and 485 approval notice with all other evidences in the application, still got denied. She had her EAD card a few days ago. is there anyone faced same issues? I might need to reopen the case. After reopening, will her approved I-765 be still valid? or do we need to apply for I-765 again? Any suggestions?
Motion to reopen at BIA
I have withholding of removal since 2008. Three years ago I married a US citizen and I have an i-130 petition approved by USCIS. The lawyer I hired sent a motion to reopen to BIA, since BIA was the last to have jurisdiction over my asylum case appeal years ago. It's been 6 months and no response from BIA yet.
Is my lawyer correct in sending to BIA a motion to reopen instead of a joint motion with DHS/ICE counsel? Also, should he file my i-485 while waiting for a decision from BIA, to reduce the time wait on the i-485?#BIA #motiontoreopen #motion #withholdingofremoval #i485 #i130
Years of experience
Hello,
My current job asked 5-7yrs of experience in the Job description during the time of hire. But, I only had 4.6yrs of experience at the time of hire.
Q1: Is it going to be a problem when I file for PERM? Does the years of experience from Job description has to match exactly with my years of work experience?
Q2: I have a masters degree in STEM. can I show it as 2yrs of relevant work experience?
TIA
