Approved I- 130 today
Hey family, we received our approval today and so thankful for this support group 🙏 Here's a breakdown so far. PD July 3rd 2023 Consular process - Thailand 1st review August 24th 2023 No RFE 421 DAYS TEXAS SERVICE CENTER A couple things we did to stay pro active with our application. We did add extra evidence along the way like recipes for financial support, photo of us with date on our 1 year wedding anniversary, also when our application was at 1 year. I showed them proof of my Veteran Status and it showed she is my beneficiary. Funny, our marriage is not recognized by the US because we were married in Thailand but the VA has no problem adding her. My friend wrote a beautiful letter on our behalf that I added. Finally, when I got back to the US last week August 20th, I did a live chat with an agent Last Friday thru Ask Emma and after verifying our case was in Texas, I specifically asked the agent Is our case actually being processed currently or still waiting to be looked at ? It took a few minutes to respond but she gave the generic response as usual. Monday night I noticed our timeline to complete changed 2 times from 4 months to 8 months then 5 months which frustrates everyone as you know. Then last night 10pm I received an email alert and an alert from Lawfully. I logged in and saw under documents our approval letter. Now on to step 2 and the NVC process, then waiting for her interview but we think the long wait times are behind us.. Sort of. lol I believe in being pro active, giving them a little nudge but not sure it worked. I believe in support groups like that one where we can gather information to help each other and I believe in the power of Prayer 🙏. I look forward to hearing when you all get your approvals and able to reunite with your Loved ones giving anyone the encouragement needed to get through this journey. It's still a ways to go until she can actually step foot in the US and I look forward to updating every step.
