traveling with a DUI and green card.
hello everyone - has anyone traveled recently with a DUI on their record? DUI is from 2015 and I became a GC holder last year May 2024. I’ve been told I should have no issues as green card was granted therefore DUI was adjudicated at time of GC approval.
has anyone traveled recently? #DUI #Travel #CriminalRecord
IR-1 form DS-260
I made a mistake in the DS-260 form by selecting “United Arab Emirates” as the country/region for my petitioner, but it should be “United States”. I emailed NVC to request an unlock, but they replied:
“Unfortunately, we are unable to reopen the form for corrections at this time. At the time of the applicant’s interview, you may notify the consular officer of any information which you were unable to modify in the DS-260 form.”
Has anyone experienced this before? Will this cause any issues during the interview? What should I prepare or explain to the consular officer?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I-730 interview
Hello everyone,
My wife has an upcoming USCIS interview in two weeks for her I-730 (Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition) case. We got married while inside the U.S., so the interview will also take place here. I’m still waiting on my green card, which hasn’t been issued yet.
According to the appointment notice, she is required to bring:
The appointment notice
Official ID (passport or other valid government-issued ID)
Passport
Any immigration or residency-related documents
The notice also states that the petitioner (me, her husband) may attend the interview, but it’s not mandatory unless specifically requested.
We’re wondering if anyone has gone through this process and can share their experience.
Are there any other documents you’d recommend we bring that might help?
Would you recommend having a lawyer present at the interview? Ours is asking for a high fee, and we’re unsure if it’s necessary, especially since no complications have been mentioned in the notice.
Any tips, suggestions, or advice from those who’ve been through this would be greatly appreciated. We want to be well-prepared and avoid any delays or issues.
Thank you so much for your help and support!
proccing expedite request
Hi everyone, I wanted to ask if anyone has had a similar experience to mine with a Refugee Travel Document as a refugee applicant.
I applied for a Refugee Travel Document in August 2024 as a refugee, so it has been 11 months now. After my biometrics, I haven’t received any updates at all.
Two months ago, I submitted an expedite request because my sister, who lives alone in the UK, is pregnant and due to give birth on August 10. She has no other family there to help her, and I really need to be with her. Unfortunately, USCIS has not responded to the expedite request either. My lawyer has called USCIS twice and they told us someone would reach out, but no one has.
Has anyone here received a Refugee Travel Document recently as a refugee? How long did it take? Has anyone successfully expedited a Refugee Travel Document under similar circumstances? Or does anyone have any advice or experience with this situation?
Any information or help would be so appreciated. Thank you so much

Advance parole
Hello guys, Hope you are all well. Has anyone travelled with advance parole recently? I used it two times, first trip was during the former president and the second trip the new administration, it was in February. He just sat in the office. Both trips went smoothly when I returned to the US. I am planning to travel soon. I just want to know the experiences of the people who travelled recently. It will be greatly appreciated.
approved NIW with 29-Nov-2023 PD
i am from the row and have an approved NIW with PD 29-Nov-2023. My STEM OPT expires on 30-Nov-2025. Should I wait for Adjustment of Status (AOS) in US or start preparing to go home and do Consular Processing? This whole thing is taking too long and it is extremely frustrating at this point.
