INTERVIEW I-485
Hi everyone,
I have a question for those who have been through this.
Has anyone here ever received an I-485 interview notice while their I-360 still showed as pending (or before they ever received an I-360 approval notice)?
I recently received an interview notice for my I-485, but as far as I know, my I-360 is still pending. I’m trying to understand if this happened to anyone else and what the outcome was.
Also, if you’ve already attended your VAWA-based I-485 interview:
* What questions did the officer ask?
* Did they ask about the abuse or was it mostly about the I-485?
* Did they tell you at the interview whether your I-360 had been approved?
* How long was the interview?
* How long after the interview did you receive a decision?

yes you will have a combo interview for both i-485 and i-360

you’ll probably get the interview notification for i-360 shortly as well

as far as for the combo interview and as much as I have done research it could last up to 6 hours and questions for both i-485 eligibility and i-360 deep dive which will be then reviewed and decided by a panel of officers per your recorded statements.
These interviews restarted March 2026.

waoh back in 2021 no i-360 interview. only i-485 and they were not allowed to ask you anything about your abuser.
myself I attended i-485 interview and questions was how many kids I have, if I still work same place as I mentioned on my application and if I traveled outside country which was yes and presented my travel documents. After he recommended for my approval went home at night received an email that my case was approved followed with another email card being produced.
Got my citizenship last year.

right now it’s a combo interview on 360 and 485 and you should start preparing for it. Could you share how much time do you have between the interview notice and the actual interview day?

@Missy May You should get your MEDICAL done and take it with you to the interview not to waste time (if they don't have it already)
