Trend
Recently, I’ve noticed that more than 10 cases among my friends were transferred to non-local field offices, and all of these transfers happened within the past week.
Does anyone know what this could indicate? Do these cases likely will be sent to local field offices for interview,, or could USCIS be planning to waive the interviews and move toward approval after issuing any necessary RFEs?
I’d be interested to hear if others have seen a similar trend or have insights into what these transfers might mean.
Tell me about your experience
Hello—today I received a letter from USCIS scheduling me for an interview, which I am to attend alongside my 17-year-old son. I submitted my application for adjustment of status based on asylum back in 2018. I am feeling a bit nervous given everything that is going on right now; has anyone else had their interview yet? Could you share your experience with me

Confused by Emma live agent answer and Status tracker info
I checked with Emma live agent regarding which field office is processing my case and she answered that its been transferred to non local field office but the status tracker still shows CRP . is that normal ? will status tracker update at all ?
last time I checked it as in NBC couple of weeks ago.
Thoughts??
Asylum Granted, I-485 Pending — Can I Get a New SSN Card and REAL ID?
Hi everyone,
I’m in New York. My asylum case was approved in 2024 by USCIS, I have an A5 EAD card, and my asylum-based I-485 is still pending.
Has anyone in a similar situation successfully:
• Replaced their Social Security card to remove the work restriction?
• Obtained a New York REAL ID before receiving their green card?
I’d appreciate any experience and information on what documents were accepted.
Thank you!

Congressman vs. Writ of Mandamus?
Hi everyone, I need your honest experiences and opinions on two options for a delayed case:
Congressman Inquiry: Has anyone tried this? What response did you get back from USCIS? I'm almost ready to send a request on my own but feeling unsure.
Mandamus: Has anyone actually filed one? What was the outcome?
Thank you :)
