Tell me about your experience
Hello—today I received a letter from USCIS scheduling me for an interview, which I am to attend alongside my 17-year-old son. I submitted my application for adjustment of status based on asylum back in 2018. I am feeling a bit nervous given everything that is going on right now; has anyone else had their interview yet? Could you share your experience with me

why it took this long for Asylum based green card? Is there anything wrong with your case?

@Ak .
My attorney filed for both a U Visa and asylum. When I was granted asylum, we requested that the U Visa application be withdrawn, but they failed to do so at the time. According to USCIS, this was one of the reasons my case stalled; then the pandemic hit—bringing with it office closures—and in this way, seven years went by.
