Pakistani Immigrant Citizenship
I got my Green Card with EB2-NIW petition in Sep 2021.
In June I became eligible to apply for citizenship (90 days before 5 years). Is citizenship application considered banned for Pakistan since it is in the list of countries from where immigrant visa processing is on hold? I have always lived in USA and applied from USA (satisfied the requirements for taxes). I also had only traffic infractions from more than 5 years ago, and did upload proof of community work into my application. I think my case will be in Portland OR. Putting out feelers for these. I applied recently for the citizenship. Also going to upload more and more proof.
I got my green card via EB2-NIW.

"New Card Is Being Produced" on my I-360 (not C31 or C09) – Is this VAWA approval or just my C09 EAD?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to understand a recent USCIS update and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced the same thing.
My timeline:
VAWA (I-360): Filed February 22, 2022 (EAC/Vermont)
I-485 & C31 EAD: Filed June 2022
C09 EAD: Filed April 2, 2025
Congressional inquiry and expedite request approved.
Biometrics completed on May 1, 2026.
USCIS issued an RFE on my I-360.
I responded, and on June 2, 2026, the status changed to "Response to USCIS' Request for Evidence Was Received."
Yesterday my statuses changed to:
I-360 (EAC): New Card Is Being Produced
C09 (IOE): USCIS is currently processing the case (same generic message)
C31 (separate receipt): Correspondence Was Received and USCIS Is Reviewing It
I-485: Case Transferred to Another Office
Lawfully marks the I-360 as "Approved" because it says "New Card Is Being Produced."
My questions:
Has anyone had "New Card Is Being Produced" appear on the I-360 receipt number instead of the C31 or C09?
Did it end up being VAWA approval with a C31 EAD, or was it actually just a C09 EAD approval?
If it was VAWA approval, how many days later did you receive the approval notice and the EAD?
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar experience.
Thank you!

I-140 Approval after waiting for more than 2years (regular processing)
I've been current since March 2026, but didn't get an approval for the I-140 petition. I was beginning to get worried and almost got the premium processing (out of pocket) but I'm glad I wasn't as buoyant at the time to pay for it. Thank you Marvelous God for this Great Miracle.
PS: I am from one of the 36 banned countries.

Case Update N-400 N400
Just putting this out there for whoever needs the information.
I filed
N400 November 2025 (5years rule) pending 751
Biometrics was reused November 22 2025
I received the same update everyone had about USCIS is currently processing the case ealier this month but date didn't change.
But then today i received the same USCIS is currently processing the case with today's date July 16. which makes exactly 8 months of filing, Field office Minneapolis. I think its getting closer to having my interview (just a hope).
That's all I have for you. Goodluck. If Any update happens I'll update my post. #N400 #N-400
I-765 Approved After 144 Days — Sharing for Anyone Still Waiting 🎉
Wanted to share a bit of good news for others in the queue. My I-765 (Category C09) was approved on Jul 15, 2026, 144 days after filing. Still waiting on a decision for my I-485.
One lesson learned: my previous EAD (Category C14) expired, and since this new one was a different category rather than a straightforward renewal, I filed 2 months before expiration thinking that would be enough — it wasn’t. I ended up with a 3-month gap where I couldn’t legally work while waiting on the new one. If your category is changing or you’re not 100% sure it counts as a simple renewal, file even earlier than you think you need to, so you don’t get caught in that gap.
To everyone still waiting — I know the not-knowing is the hardest part. The gap between biometrics and any movement can feel endless, and it’s easy to start reading into every processing time update. But cases do move, even when the timeline looks quiet for months at a time. Keep your documents ready, keep checking your case status, and hang in there.

No Update on Vawa and 485
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
I filed my VAWA (I-360 & 485) in December 2021, and I still haven’t received any update on my case.
My Prima Facie Determination expired on July 1, 2026. In the past, USCIS always sent me a new Prima Facie 1–2 weeks before the current one expired. However, this time I haven’t received anything.
I checked with my attorney, and they confirmed that they have not received a new Prima Facie notice either.
My attorney and my congresswoman’s office both submitted inquiries to USCIS over 2–3 months ago, but there has been no response. Every time I call Attorney and Congresswoman , they just tell me to keep waiting, and I haven’t been able to get any meaningful information.
Has anyone with a similar December 2021 receipt date experienced a delay in receiving their renewed Prima Facie? If so:
* Did you eventually receive it?
* How long did it take after your previous Prima Facie expired?
* Did you have to take any additional steps?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thank you in advance.
