I-140 decision with an approved I-765
I just received approval for I-765 while my I-140 is pending. Does this approval mean anything for pending I-140 decision or are they independent? Can I hope to get any decision for I-140 soon based on this?

When Form I-765 is filed based on a pending Form I-485 (category C09), USCIS evaluates eligibility for the employment authorization document independently of the final decision on Form I-140. The EAD can be issued simply upon the acceptance and ongoing processing of the I-485.
