F1 - Family based (US citizen filling for unmarried daughter over 21) I-130
Hello!
Does anyone can help me with some info?
My priority date is 06/12/2017
Case was approved in June 2021
My questions are:
When can I fill I-485?
When do I know is the right time to fill I-485?
Can i fill it now?
I have a B1/B2 visa and will expire in oct 27th. Do I have to leave the country even if I’m able to fill the I-485?
Im so lost. One lawyer told me that I have to wait until a non-immigrant visa becomes available so I can fill the I-485. The other one told me that I can fill the I-485 even if I don’t have an available visa and stay here illegal until I get my green card.
I really don’t know what to do…
I’d really appreciate if someone can give me a clear answer.

Payment Adjustment Of Status
Hi guys, I have a quick question. We are doing the adjustment of status, my question is regarding on how we can pay. I know the total of the filing fee is $1225, (Form I-485 $1140 and Biometrics $85). Now, can I do a money order for the total $1225, or I have to do 2 separate money orders one for $1140 and the second one for $85.

had consultation with 2 lawyer today .
it been 13 month I had my second interview in dallas no decision. first lawyer told my wife the us citizen that we should sue them because sometimes they put the file under the table if they don’t have strong case against us and that way they can pick up the file again . the second lawyer said we should wait till December that uscis might get angry and said we did not let them finish their investigation that why they denial so am confused of what to do . but my wife said first lawyer advise is best . just ideal.
