Done and Dusted!
I filed my N-400 application (3years rule) in December 2022 while my I-751 was still pending since November 2021. N-400 interview was scheduled on Jan 5th 2023 and my I-751 status changed on Dec 12th to “Case transferred to another office”. I went in for my interview today, I went alone, my spouse didn’t come with me(He wasn’t available to go with me). Officer asked why he didn’t come, I explained to him. He went on to remove the conditions on the I-751 and went ahead with the citizenship questions, he asked me 6 questions, I passed it all. He handed me the paper that said “Your application has been recommended for approval”. My status on lawfully has changed to “Oath ceremony will be scheduled”. I checked the document tab on my USCIS account and my notice of oath ceremony is already there. Oath ceremony is on February 22nd. But the status on I-751 is still “Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction”
I’m super excited this journey has come to an end. I’m thankful to God almighty who makes all things beautiful in his time. And to all the people who always answered my questions on this platform. Special shoutout to @Rocco and @Bugs Burger for their helpful comments and insights.
I wish us well…Cheers #I-751 #N-400 #Dallas
I-751, N-400 Long Island New York
Hi. anybody else from NY or Long Island with pending I-751 and N-400? . I have I-751 waiting for around 18 months , and recently applied for N-400(3year rule) and both cases were transferred to another office, but haven’t received yet to which office. already requested new letter one month ago. any recent development in your cases? this wait is terrible.#I-751 #n-400
I-751 waver - N400 combo interview
I applied for citizenship throughout the 5 years rule. got married in April 2016 and got divorced in November 2020. applied for #I-751 jointly and covered to waiver after divorce.
-interview for #N-400 and I-751 was scheduled for January 2023 Atlanta Georgia. I passed the civic test and the English portion. I was a given #N-652 form that states “ a decision cannot be made yet about your application” the officer said that I will be getting a notice in the mail.
have someone ever experienced this?
will I get approved?
it has been a two weeks now and I haven’t heard from them at all.
also, during my N -400, I corrected a couple of dates that were off in my application and added a new job.
please let me know if someone has the same experience as me or similar.
thanks

hey Guys this trip is over for me. thanks so much to this incredible community. Everyone’s experience was really helpful. today I had my combo interview. everything was smooth and easy. about my I-751 the officer just said “you passed!” - No questions all documentation was enough. my citizenship interview was easy (no definition e.g. what does mental institution mean?) just the 6 regular questions / reading/ writing test. then a couple of questions about N-400 form and that’s it. everything took about 15 minutes. same day oath ceremony.
thanks again!. you guys were wonderful and enlightened me!!!! #I-751 #N-400
