Hi Ahmed, have they scheduled your oath? You mentioned you are changing your name for which you may need a judge to be present, that may be the reason for the delay. I am on the same boat in terms of the name change, my interview/citizenship test was scheduled for February 1st at Baltimore. Will follow closely how things go with you. All the best with the completion of your oath! 🙏
ahmed tJan 7, 2023
@a L, they didn't schedule yet. but they said it will be scheduled in this month. incase if you are scared of interview, that isn't hard officer will ask best possible questions which aren't hard.
A LJan 8, 2023
Ahmed, thank you for the encouragement with the interview/test. That is helpful to know. Hope your oath is scheduled soon. Please keep us posted here :)
ahmed tJan 8, 2023
@a l, Yeah of course.
A LJan 30, 2023
Hi Ahmed, were you scheduled for your oath ceremony?
ahmed tJan 30, 2023
@A L they are taking forever to give me oath time.
A LFeb 2, 2023
@Ahmed, I went to my interview (civics test) appointment yesterday. The officer said she would recommend me for approval and once her supervisor signed it, uscis would send my documentation to the court for name change processing and once they’d receive the approved name change docs back from the court, then uscis would schedule me for oath at the Baltimore office…. the last portion of the wait is now under way. I’m on the same boat as you now. Hope we hear back sooner rather than later. we need to pray that the completion of the naturalization process doesn’t take much longer 🙏🙏🙏

Hey @Ahmed, any good news on your oath ceremony? I can’t believe they can sit for so long on the last step that is so simple. so desperate to be scheduled.
ahmed tApr 17, 2023
Me as well waiting for oath. that simple thing taking so long i can't imagine.
A LApr 22, 2023
yes, it is incredible that the simplest and last step can take so long. Frustrating!
