Approved <3
I just want to say thank you to everyone! Thank you for answering my questions and taking time to read on my posts. It’s been a tough wait from application to approval. I remember to be checking this app on a regular basis for any updates and to somehow lessen the anxiety of waiting.
I came in on an ESTA and it was an unplanned thing to stay in the US to get married. I thought I was making a mistake because I read so many posts that it might be risky but with all the travel bans, we just gambled anyway. I personally didn’t expect that it will only take around 4-5 months for our case to be approved. It went quicker than expected. It was difficult having no work during the wait because I was used to working a lot. I spent the months exercising, reading and watching movies. I guess you just need to be patient and do what you can control. I guess God works in mysterious ways that the experience taught me to trust the process and be patient. After everything, we are very grateful about the outcome.
I hope you will have yours too soon! Do not lose hope. Let’s pray for it. God bless everyone.

Be encouraged, folks.
i130/i485 was approved within hours after interview
it’s been long journey to GC, I had my interview couples days back and everything went smooth.
it’s always a good to have attorney present in interview physically, my lawyer gave pointers on elaborating stories about our hobbies/house hunt and at a point the officer was like it’s too much information and told us the interview is up.
intimidate with lot of documentation, more documentation is always good.
the GC which suppose to be 6month journey end up being 19months due to backlogs and pandemic.
anyways it a such a reliefs when it’s done ✅

Finally approved after a good 3 years 🎉🎉🎉
My wife and I had our AOS Interview yesterday, got the approval today. Don't lose hope guys, this process is a long journey, it felt like forever but well worth the wait.
This timeline doesn't tell the full story of the 3 years process.. Yes, we went through the K1 Visa process in 2019.. medical exam, Biometrics and interview in our home country. My wife entered the US in March 2020.. we had 90 days to get married, got married during covid in April 2020. I submitted the AOS 485 in June ..it got rejected because I filed incorrectly.. then again in July 2020 but with a online Lawyer services, got received.. we found out in July 2020 the we were pregnant.. got the Biometrics appointment in March 2021 the same day my daughter was born. in April 2021 we got the letter that an interview appointment was next but didn't received a date until February 2022.. that was the longest waiting.. in the meantime my wife received her Advanced parole and employment authorization in the same red card. My daughter recently turned a year old, so we took her to out AOS Interview March 29th 2022. Got approval notification and the card has been created on the 30th.. so we should have the card in a couple weeks 😊

6 weeks after Interview!! finally approved!! 😭😭
Indianapolis FO. No RFEs.
Took 7 months to get Bio appt!! I made multiple inquires. when my I-131 became “out of normal
processing time” I made a case inquiry and shortly after got scheduled for Bio. if you filed for combo and one of them is out of normal processing, make as many inquires as you can (I think Bio is faster now no?)
I think A week after Bio, I was scheduled for interview. As soon as I got the notification, I chatted with an agent through Emma to know the interview date ( if you can’t tell, my patience was running thin lol).
Interview day. Right before I sat down he gave me the white paper saying he will not make a decision today ( I was so bummed out especially seeing others get approved on the spot wit the same FO). my officer was so mean😭, he asked simple questions but each question was loaded with unnecessary minute details. At a point, he was almost yelling at me because I answered I don’t know to one of the questions he asked, he wouldn’t take I don’t know for an answer, (like I’m going to be honest and say I don’t know!) Never lie, better to say you don’t know than make up something on the spot. he kept pressuring me and trying to feed me answers . I think I spent almost an hour in there. with my partner it wasn’t that long.
The waiting: this was the hardest part, everyday i vehicles Reddit and Facebook and saw people posting how they were approved on the spot by the same FO, or very shortly after interview. I started imagining the worst case scenario. eventually I decided to move on hoping they would get to me eventually ( it was hard but I had to , for my mental health). Then after over a month of silence , I decided to try making an inquiry, I wasn’t expecting this to work because they do have 120 days to make their decision. I did it anyways, I make a request to get a call from a Tier 2 officer.
Officer called me after a while and I explained to her that I want to know the status of my application, I completed my interview, if they need anything just send me an rfe so I can move on with my life dammit! she was very nice and understanding and she forwarded my inquiry to the FO. I was expecting a generic answer but about a few days later, I suddenly got notification that nee card was being produced!! finally the wait is over. Hallelujah!! #i-485 #interview #approved #greencard

I-485 Pending on an Approved I-140 NIW
Evidence submitted: job applications in fields of proposed endeavor; employed at a different field at time of application; still looking for new jobs. 65 citations at time of application, close to 90 now. two first-author, two second-author, 6 total; some peer review work; employer letter stating how my job helps in developing skills; personal letter explaining my goals; published just recently again, petition tied to how I’m addressing three points for NIW; three independent recommendations out of 5; some media coverage and recognition; of course also evidence of how it’s tied to national interest.
Had already obtained PhD in chemistry at the time of application, and was employed on STEM OPT.
No RFE was issued for NIW.
Was on student F1-STEM-OPT status at time of application, although H1-B was already approved but was going to begin in October. Filed I-485 a month after filing I-140 so technically case is non-concurrent.
Approval notice never received since USCIS may have goofed up on address. Have raised service requests twice now.
Law firm received my approval notice! Two times. Each time I didn’t receive it. I am told it shouldn’t have any problems for the I-485 since I filed it separately.
I-485: Was transferred from NBC to Nebraska Service Center late January, but no update since that would request medical evidence. Been about 180 days.
I have had biometrics done already and have an approved AP/EAD card too.
So two questions:
1) Would this approval notice not being delivered have issues for me or impact my I-485 application, since they were filed separately from I-140?
2) When should I expect to hear from NSC? I am past date ranges of what Lawfully predicts my case should be adjudicated by.

I-140 Approved. Still waiting on I-485? (Tx)
Hello! I filed concurrently I-140 and I-485 on 02/06/2020. My I-140 got approved on 04/05/2021. I am based in Texas. Does anyone know how long does it take for the I-485 to get approved after they already approved the I-140?
The last update for my I-485 is “Fingerprints Taken” and that was back on 08/19/2020. #i-140 #i140 #i-485 #i485 #texas #tx #approved #approval
Employment Layoff After Receiving Greencard
What happens if the employer releases one month after getting green card. Usually it was suggested to stay with employer around 6-12 months. I need to file i824 for my spouse to follow to join. But the release case is scaring me.
Thanks in advance. #fiance #greencard #approved #layoff
