485/140/765/131 and 693 filed together in Sep-2021 at SRC, I140 premium processed, crickets until transfer of my case to NBC in May-22. Approval after 42 days.
A 7 year journey finally at an end. I moved to the USA intending to stay here for 2 or 3 years before perhaps returning home - but Texas has really grown on me and itself become my home. I’m glad I don’t need to say goodbye to my friends.
So excited for what the future holds and what opportunities this now unlocks for me! It is a little bittersweet, I have many friends stuck in the backlog who filed before me. While I’m happy I wish this process was more fair.

Glory to be God because God knows how long I have waited for this day to come.

Timeline for Approved VAWA case, approved Work Permit and Travel Permit as well as currently pending Adjustment of Status and I-130 paused upon submitting of a I-360 right around the interview for I-485. * During an interview I asked to hold my I-485 and I-130 in abeyance, which means they didn't have to deny them and hold off the decision until the VAWA is approved/denied. Hello guys so I’m a green card and student overseas in my home country Sudan
The last time I went back to the USA the CPB officer
Has advised me to apply for an I-131 reentry permit or stay for 6 months & 1 day After I can travel again to finish my last 5th year in dental school
So I did both
I applied for a reentry permit + did my biometric And then finish six months & 4 days
Then traveled , now I’m in Sudan after 6 months and My Sudanese passport has expired and I’m waiting to get the new one
BUT 🔥 now my case was suddenly approved and the reentry permit produced
after 6 months and 14 days in Sudan
So could I now stay or must I come back ??
And is it gonna affect my citizenship if i stayed for more six months when I apply ???

Green card finally approved after almost 5 years and 1 year later than primary applicant
Today is 2 months since combo card aproval after personal and congressional expedite processing requests/inquiry and 1 month and 5 days after congresssional inquiry for I-485 outside normal processing. We were very happy for the EAD/AP aproval but today words can’t explain our joy or the kind of relief we are experiencing right now.
As you can see it’s been super long and painful. But God heard our cries and prayers and came through when we least expected it. Glory to the Lord almitghty.
It’s a long story with all kind of experiences with USCIS but we are super happy and grateful to God for closing this chapter in our lives. Now counting down to receive the actual card.
“DO NOT” hesitate to contact your congress reps for help even if you think it might not be successful. You never know when it’s gonna work. There is nothing to lose.
