case is being actively reviewed
I know the petition for unmarried children over 21 takes several years but I received a change of status to "case is being actively reviewed" and I have two questions. 1. How long after applying does this status change usually take place and 2. How long does it usually take after that to approval. Case is at California Center.

Case Approved! 🇺🇸🥳 ( California Center)
finally! after almost 9months of waiting! 🙏🏼
Btw, I got approved for I-485 without receiving my work permit 🙈 I just wanna share, we didn’t hire a lawyer and bec of that, we went to the interview a little over prepared..
The interview took about 10mins and the officer only asked me about 3-5 questions & asked my husband (sponsor) more questions which I think is unusual?
These are the questions that I could only remember:
1. My name & date of Birth
2. Name of my Parents
3. if I have additional documents to submit -
—additional photos from trips/holidays with family
— joint title of our house
— medical (I-693)
4. My travel history to the US- which I recited (what year and duration of stay/visit)
The officer was kind & told us that he’ll approve our case, and just wait for about 4-6weeks.. which is true (got approved exactly 4weeks from interview)!
will be praying for everyone..
just trust in the process.. 🙏🏼

Frustrated with Procedure and Lack of Explanation
California Service Center appears to be the only one that processes K-1 Visa petitions. Does the USCIS have an explanation for why they continue to transfer other cases not related to the K-1 visa process to California Service Center and allow them to be reviewed and approved ahead of the K-1 visa petitions? Our processing times have been extended out from 5.5-7 months to 9-12 months since I submitted my petition last June, and I continue to see CR-1/K-3 transferred to California and approved very quickly.

I-130 permanent resident filling for a spouse
My case status changed to actively reviewed after 100 days.
We applied on November 25th, 2021. My husband is a permanent resident and I’m from Germany.
Our case is at the California service center. Did anybody had the same case and the same service center like us? if so, how long did you have to wait for the approval?

F2A "case is being actively reviewed by uscis" i-130
Hi everyone, I wanna discuss the I-130 "actively review" status here with y'all who had the similar situation
I'm a lawful permanent resident (LPR) and I submitted the I-130 form for my wife on August 5, 2021. The receipt notice says my case is received by the California Service Center.
Then after 4 months, on Dec 9, 2021 the status of my case changed to "case is being actively reviewed by uscis".
I checked many online resource. Some cases got approved only a few days after "actively review" and some cases are still waiting since months and years.
Also, I feel like between end of 2021 to beginning of 2022 there are HUGE amount of cases status were changed to this "actively review". (Correct me if I'm wrong)
I'm not sure how long will it take. Any idea? or suggestion? or helpful information is welcome

Medical RFE
Hello Friends, Who normally send the medical RFE is it the NBC where I submitted papers or its the nearest field office?. I live in California. It’s been 4 mos since I received my EAD and AP but I have not receive the medical RFE. My lawyer said to just wait for the RFE. He did not recommend interfiling because chances are they will request for medical again. Any idea? Thank you.
