I’m sick and tired of that Immigration waiting
right now I’m so freaking mad.. I’ve spent so much money through Immigration and lawyer and still can’t get no approval… this is freaking ridiculous… I should’ve never done that K-1 application, I should’ve married instead… I feel like go to California and cursed them out so loud..
Change of Address after AOS Interview
Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
Hello everyone! We had the interview on Jan 2022 in California and we moved to Iowa a month ago. We informed our officer about the move and she changed our mailing address during the interview.
March 7th - I changed the address online and the next day, our friend (from the old address) told us that we got a notice in the mail. It was a Cancellation notice. Our case is updated from “Interview was scheduled” to “Interview Cancelled or Descheduled”.
March 21st - Case is updated again. From “Interview Cancelled” back to “Interview was scheduled”.
March 22nd - I called the USCIS to verify the changes and the agent said that we were actually scheduled for the interview at 3pm on that day at SJ FO. I was like “😳”. Ay yi yi! I told them we didn’t get anything in the mail and I just requested to reschedule the interview (if this is really another interview, then I think this would be a Stokes Interview). Yikes!
I’m assuming that the Cancellation notice was probably because of the change of address. But I could be wrong.
Also, a week after our interview, we received a call from the IO herself. She tried to call us 3 times and left us a voicemail. The voicemail was cut off - it was only 3 secs. She called us to verify a document and asked us if we could just stop by at the FO to give her a copy of that document. It was weird actually lol. So yeah, we went back to SJ FO 2 weeks after our interview to submit the requested document. PS. we didn’t received any RFE notice or anything. Just a phone call lol
Anyone with the similar experience? Thank you so so so much in advance!

No status change on form l-130 filing for sibling since August 2014.
Has anyone filed the l-130 for a relative with the California Service Center? The only status I see for years in my siblings case is “Case received by USCIS on Aug 19, 2014. Although estimated time range states from 113 - 146 mths but shouldn’t there be some kind of update or notice in the last almost 8yrs? Has anyone received any response for form I-130 case filed that long . Any advice will help.
Turns out we got transferred
Both my husband and I went on Ask Emma. His service agent told him we were still at Nebraska, mine told me we were transferred early on to California and that is why we are not able to file an inquiry…
This is so frustrating…!

How can I make the process faster?
We filed I-130 on March 22nd, 2021 and on May 18th, 2021 we received a notice that Case is actively being reviewed by USCIS. By that time my wife was a green card holder and it was sent to Nebraska Service Center.
My wife became a citizen on September 17th, 2021 and we than filed I-485, I-765 and I-131, that was sent to National Benefit Center on September 29th, 2021 and on December 1st,2021 I had my biometrics appointment.
After that we moved in the same town we Iive right now. So we changed our address and Status for I-130 from Green card to Citizen for my wife. They moved my I-130 to California Service Center after address change without notice.
Called USCIS today, and they said all my documents are now at National Benefit Center; again without notice. Not sure how long till I get an update?

My indignation knows no bounds! Who works in the California center? People? I doubt they have a heart! I'm from Ukraine, we are waiting from April 21, 2021! Now I had to flee to Poland from the war, we were bombed every day and night! I ended up in a foreign country without a house and things! We filed for acceleration, but they do not answer for almost a month!!! What's wrong with you people?!#K1 #I129😭😭😭
