finally! after almost 9months of waiting! 🙏🏼
Btw, I got approved for I-485 without receiving my work permit 🙈 I just wanna share, we didn’t hire a lawyer and bec of that, we went to the interview a little over prepared..
The interview took about 10mins and the officer only asked me about 3-5 questions & asked my husband (sponsor) more questions which I think is unusual?
These are the questions that I could only remember:
1. My name & date of Birth
2. Name of my Parents
3. if I have additional documents to submit -
—additional photos from trips/holidays with family
— joint title of our house
— medical (I-693)
4. My travel history to the US- which I recited (what year and duration of stay/visit)
The officer was kind & told us that he’ll approve our case, and just wait for about 4-6weeks.. which is true (got approved exactly 4weeks from interview)!
will be praying for everyone..
just trust in the process.. 🙏🏼

congrats.this made me not be so nervous but i have a question i dont want to sound slow for number 4 are they asking about travel or asking about how you came into the country ?

we filed forms I-130, I-485, I-765 & I-131 at the same time..
form I-130 got approved yesterday too.. :)

@K T ok thanks lol i was a little confused.yea i dint get no EAD either . how long did it take for the interview notice to arrive in the mail?

hi Brit, my case only changed to “Actively being reviewed” 2 days ago (Monday). then I-130 got approved yesterday, and I- 485 today :)

ok thank you. I had my interview Feb 10th, status changed to actively being reviewed on March 1st and today is 9th. just being curious about the whole thing. am so happy for you.

I received my interview notice in the mail after 2 weeks.. but you can check the document that they’ll send on your profile at USCIS.. same of what they’ll send :)

my RFE is just my medical (I-693) :) yes, I just brought it with me during the interview.
