Clarification on form i-485, pg 3, q12, I-94
On Form I-485, page 3, question 12 refers to the Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Record. Should we provide the original I-94 information that we used when entering the U.S., or should we use the new departure record number issued by USCIS after being granted asylum?

10 Months Into Active Review – Still Awaiting Progress
It’s been 10 months, and USCIS is still actively reviewing my case. I appreciate that it's under active review. I wonder, what would be the case, if it wasn't actively under review.

SSN
I applied for a SSN in Atlanta one month ago. when I call to check on it they are saying it’s DHS who needs to approve it and they have not yet.
Is anyone experiencing a long turn around time for SSN? How long did it take for you to get it and where are you? Is there anything that I can do to speed up the process?

USCIS Decided to Stop giving deferred action
USCIS issued policy guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual to eliminate automatic consideration of deferred action (and related employment authorization) for Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJs) who are ineligible to apply for adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident status due to visa unavailability. Feedback is due 7/7/25.
This guidance confirms that USCIS will no longer consider granting deferred action on a case-by-case basis to SIJs who are ineligible to apply for adjustment of status solely due to unavailable immigrant visas. This update, contained in Volume 6, Part J, Chapter 4: Adjudication, is effective immediately and applies to individuals classified as SIJs before, on, or after that date based on an approved Form I-360. The guidance contained in the Policy Manual is controlling and supersedes any related prior guidance.
Asylum and concerned if status could be changed
Hello Everyone,
My spouse change his status from F1 to asylum back in 2017. So far he has been working with asylum EAD but the case has not moved yet!! I have my GC from EB3-skilled.
Our concern is, is it possible to file for adjustment of status? Can he withdraw his asylum? will there be any complication.
please let me know if you have gone through same situation. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

hey guys just wanted to give you all an update, it’s been quite sometime since we got approved, we are now only 1 month out from my interview in Australia at the US consulate, I have completed medicals and all documents that were sent to NVC were approved, our case is currently at the US consulate now, we are almost there, our case has changed to IR1 meaning a 10 year greencard. good luck to everyone on here, I’m thankful for this app over the past 2 years I’ve had it. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
