This case is taking longer than expected. You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case from the information in the Case Status Processing Times tool at egov.uscis.gov/processing-times. Enter the form, form category, and field office or service center from the drop-down menus. You will be given the processing time. You can enter your receipt date and select the "Get Inquiry Date" box. If the message says "You can send us questions about your case by submitting an online Request for Service," you can submit an electronic request under "Case Outside of Normal Processing Time" at egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do.
APPROVED AFTER 16 MONTHS!!
I’m so happy!! My case was approved last weekend, and now I’m just waiting for my green card to be produced and delivered. No updates yet, but I feel amazing knowing it’s finally happening!

Hi Family,
We’re overjoyed to share that our I-130 petition (filed 12/15/2023, Texas Service Center, for my wife abroad) was approved on 10/17/2025! 🙌🏾
After filing a mandamus with Hacking Law Firm in September, we got an email yesterday saying USCIS took action on our account. The case status still showed “Case is Being Actively Reviewed,” so we couldn’t sleep! At 3 AM, while my wife slept, I checked the Documents tab on my.uscis.gov—and there it was, the approval notice! 🎉
This 22-month journey wasn’t easy, but your love, prayers, and moral support kept us strong. To everyone still waiting, don’t lose hope—check your Documents tab if you get an “action taken” email! We’re grateful for this group and wish we could all meet in person soon to celebrate. May the Creator grant you peace and speedy approvals. Thank you, and we’re praying for you all!
Blessings,
L&D G

Can I check for biometrics appointment without getting the receipt notice?
Hello, I have a USCIS A number from a previous EAD card. So I already got access to the portal and I found out today that I have a biometric appointment scheduled.
However, my wife does not have an A number and we have not received the receipt yet. The receipt was sent on October 6th I believe. is there a way for me to check if my wife has biometrics appointments set up as well?
Or should I just wait for the receipt notice? We just may need to reschedule, that's why I'd like to figure out earlier if she has the appointment set up already.
Another question: how difficult is it to reschedule the appointment?

Am I just unlucky? Seeing other August approvals vs my case got transferred to Nebraska and no news. Tired of waiting.
If you are May-July 2022 and your case still has not been processed, do you know where is your case at?
Worth checking with Emma chat if it was transferred #f2a

congressional inquiry
This is my second congressional inquiry. The first one I got a NOID which I responded to 5 months ago. This was USCIS response the 2nd time “U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) cannot comment on any case while it is being reviewed. The case remains on extended review, and we are unable to give a completion date.
We respectfully request that you allow at least 120 days from the date this email was sent before following up on the status of the case. When necessary, if submitting a follow-up inquiry, please send it to us directly via our web portal.”
I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. December will make two years since I did my interview.
