Case Processing
FINALLY APPROVED
I can’t believe I’m now one of the people that share this part of my journey. almost 5 years, 3 interviews, RFEs, NOID and finally Approved. I waited, I cried, i felt unlucky, I felt depressed, I prayed, God answered.
I pray with all my heart that everyone going through this heavy journey one day receives the good news of approval. I have not slept well for days due to excitement.
My Story: PD is Jan 2021 Newark, NJ Field Office. first interview was in December 2021. we got no response at all and waited years. we moved to Georgia in March 2022 and updated addresses immediately. no news still so we reached out to the congressman to intervene and was scheduled for an interview in April 2024 but interview was scheduled in NJ despite moving and updating addresses. we flew back to New Jersey to attend the interview hoping to get results as we were tired of the silence. after the expenses of flying to New Jersey, interview was great and we were hoping to hear back but still heard nothing at all.
our case was then transferred to the Atlanta Field Office in January 2025 and we were scheduled for another interview in February of 2025. We attended our interview and it was great. interviewing office was great and we were convinced he’s a professional that would work on the case in a timely manner. in March, we received a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID)for i130, which said they didn’t have enough evidence of genuine marriage despite us taking damn near a suitcase of evidence to the interview.
we responded to the NOID a few days after we received it and on a random Saturday, we were approved.
it’s easy to summarize it but the emotions were not easy to deal with. I pray for everyone on their journey to receive the answers they have been praying for. Also, thank you to this community. I hardly left comments as I always came here in tears to read peoples progress and hope for mine.
God is so faithful.
USCIS mistakenly sends my case NVC
Hi family.
I had interview for my 130 and 485 two weeks ago. 4 days after interview, 130 got approved and 3 days later it updated again saying case has been forwarded to the department of state for visa processing. I am within the US and applied from here. not sure why that was sent to visa center. Interviewer told me at the spot she will approve my 130 and take some time to review the 485. I called USCIS on the phone and they said I can only send an email or letter to visa center to return the case to USCIS. has anyone ever had such experience?
please advise.
thanks
Finally!!!!!
Hi Guys
Finally got my approvals. It was a tough journey yet learned a lot from the experience I got. I wish each and everyone the best on their pending cases. Yes, is worth the wait and patience. My advice is, learn to take charge on your cases and don't relax. Respond to requests from USCIS earlier to prevent further delays and make frequent checks on your cases to get first hand updates. It is a tough journey but also you need that waiting and patience spirit. God help you all.

Hello folks,
"Is it normal for the status of an I-140 application to be updated to 'Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS' a second time on June 8th, 2025? I previously received the same update on April 21, 2025, and my application is under premium processing. after submitting it on April 19th 2025
