What will happen to the people whose PDs are Aug 2, 2023?
My PD is Jan 2, 2024. I'm very scared if for the next bulletin the filing date will jump up to Jan 1st, 2024 and I'll be screwed. Like you see it's for 7 month that the filing date has not moved from Aug 1, 2023. It means that the guy whose PD was Aug 2nd is waiting more than others to get current for filing I-485.
G-56 I485 interview
Hi everyone,
I just received G56 Call in notice for i485 interview. we had our marriage base interview for I-130 3 years ago and it was approved the same day. Now I got this notice and I’m so freaking out. It says that I should come by myself or bring an attorney.
The letter states:
Reason: I485 interview
Bring with you: Government Issued ID
a little bit background story:
- I had an asylum case and the case was denied.
- got married to US citizen and had I-130 interview
now I got this notice and I don’t know if anyone was in the same situation?
VAWA case advice
Hi everyone, I recently found this app and I’ve been going through most of the stories on here and it’s good to read some good news makes me feel like there’s hope. I filed for my VAWA in june 2023, and have gotten my approval on my travel document but no update on work permit yet as it still says case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction . I am about to be fired from my job. I Don’t know what to do anymore. The 540 days on my receipt notice is done and no approval notice yet. I filed for VAWA married to a U.S. citizen. I filed for category C31.
I am also trying to get a drivers Licence from the DMV and because when I show my SSN, they always ask for my work permit and even when I show them the receipt notice, they say the 540 days is passed and they need a new extension letter from the USCIS or an approval letter.

marriage based interview .PD 03/12/2024
Hi! Yesterday, I had an interview at the Brooklyn field office, and they informed me that a decision will be reached within 120 days. Both my I-130 and I-485 statuses changed to "your case is being actively reviewed" at 3:40 PM, which was during the interview. What does this mean? How long do you think it will take for them to make a decision?#marriagebasedgreencard
