you haven’t got the receipt? receipt is the extension… c08 rebewal can be wuick or can take 12+ months

if you have the receipt notice that can serve as the extension for up to 6 months I think

@Jorge Hernandez : Your I-797C form, which you should have received from USCIS after sending over the application for a new EAD, should serve as an automatic extension of the current/expired C08 EAD for 540 days. It now takes up to 17 months to get a new EAD, and it is good for 5 years. So, if you filed for a new EAD card on time, you should have received an automatic extension via the I-797C form. That form is sufficient proof to show your employer that your current EAD card is still valid as long as you show both, until you receive the new card.

@Jorge Hernandez how long did it take to receive your receipt. I sent my renewal April 7 and I still haven’t received mines

@God’s Plan I haven’t received any, I contacted USCIS but no answer yet, called thru the phone, no helpful just email them which I already did

@Lilo Pelekai that’s what I was referring to “work permit extension” I already contacted USCIS, unfortunately they are unhelpful, sent emails which they told me is gonna take about a month to hear a response

@Jorge Hernandez : Oh, my bad. I see it now. Have you received anything from USCIS? The I-797C form? If not, have you moved and forgot to update your address with them? Do you have a lawyer for you case who may have received the receipt instead and forgot to share with you?

@Lilo Pelekai no haven’t moved and have not received nothing not even the notice of acceptance, yes I do have a lawyer who sents the documents but he never gets the receipt it gets sent to my address also i already double check with him. I have emailed the official USCIS webpage to make a claim and also emailed the Lookbox email account they have
